So what exactly don't you agree with here onebud?

Do you not agree that it's dumb to try and draw meaningful conclusions from a 3 person sample size of QB's playing this weekend?

Do you not agree that football is the ultimate team sport and hanging success or failure solely around the neck of 1 player is fucking Special person?

Do you not agree that it's absurd for someone who constantly makes exaggerated hyperbolic statements about Cutler and about how Kaepernick is going to be the best player in NFL has ever seen for the next 7 years to whine that others are making exaggerated hyperbolic statements?

The funny thing is the same people who say it's a team sport in defense of Cutler, are the first ones to blame other QBs for not getting their team to the playoffs or always losing in the post season when discussing other QBs.

According to these guys. The TD to Cobb wasn't Conte's error

The draft comparison is idiotic

Um but I'm not making a draft comparison... My argument is that it's idiotic to point to 3 QB playing this weekend out of the 230 that have been drafted since 2000 (since Mick apparently wants to use Brady among his examples) and use them as some sort of amazing evidence to support your opinions on the draft.

I agree the Bears should draft a QB at some point. I just think it's fucking Special person to point to 3 successes among the mountains of failures like it means anything in regards to the Bears drafting this year. Those 3 guys have absolutely zero bearing on the Bears identifying a quality QB and if that player turns out to be a bust or not.

Yes, that why I think your point is idiotic.

It's not like said drafted QB is walking into a 2-14 team

LOL  I don't know why I even bother with you. Like I'm just supposed to read your one sentence reply that neither quotes nor references anything specifically I said and somehow know what part you're talking about. But whatever, if you think simply referencing the fact that 3 non-1st round QB's are playing this weekend is some sort of amazing evidence to support the Bears hitting the QB lotto in the draft this year I don't know what to tell you.

There's really not that many failures. Depending on the QB talent level and depth of it for any given draft, only a select few are really projected to be starters.

You only bother with me because you're under the impression you're acting clever.

Is this conversation really still going on? Guess what: You aren't making the personnel decisions for the Bears. In fact, none of you have any say in the matter. So, your opinions are just that: YOUR OPINIONS. I think we've established that you guys aren't changing each other's minds on this topic.

When I find someone with a mind here, I will change it.

Wait...what? That is not what I was told.

Just because our opinions don't matter, and we probably won't change anyone's mind doesn't mean we can't enjoy football conversation. Spartan and I had a very civil back and forth last night in this thread discussing Cutler, disagreeing the whole time yet not screaming at each other like 12 year olds. I found it quite enjoyable, though I won't speak for him.

It's pretty easy to do if you just respect the other person's right to have a different opinion.

That's not what I said. I said you've discussed it until your blue in the face. Your opinions aren't changing. And you don't make the decisions. So, perhaps, consider dropping it.

Obviously, I cannot tell you, or force you, to do ANYTHING. However, it seems like it's the same back and forth between broc and everyone else as it was on page 1. I probably overstepped my bounds by saying anything, but it just seems like this thread is going in circles.

That's probably not going to happen though.

Joy Cutler is a popular figure here

No, you're right. The majority of the thread has been that. It just seems Broc has a blind spot when it comes to being prodded by onebud's one line trolls....and anything Mick posts.

Yup, I'm the asshole here because I don't buy into the rhetoric that 3 successes out of 230 is something to brag about and base your 2014 draft theories on. Silly me. All this time I thought drafting QB's was hard. Thank heavens Mick created this thread to prove how simple it is.

He didn't call you an asshole. What you need to realize is...it's ok if those guys think that.

It's ok Broc.
