I would guess that the sucker punch he took from Thorton was enough to cause a concussion. I hope it is not the fact. But if it is, I might guess it occurred then.

Why wouldn't Shanahan give him games for that? It is a blow to the head and an intent to injure. It was not a fight.

Pissed me off something bad

They are simply repeating that original blog post about it, which already was questionably "sourced".

I really don't know much about concussions, so let me ask a dumb question.

Aren't you more succeptable to another one next time and don't they get more serious each time?

More susceptible? Yes

More Serious? Not necessarily, but there is a good chance they do.

wow, is that a credible website? That blows if it's true.

Not sure. Just posting what's out there on the interwebs. Stuy from the 300 level posted something about this.

Hell, I have no clue what Toews drives.

The way JT was being hooked, grabbed, hacked, stuck, sticked, slapped, face rubbed etc etc during the tail end of the last road trip im not shocked he is injured. What the problem or problems are is anyones guess. Maybe this time the team will keep it quiet instead of exploiting his wrist or hand injury that the team couldn't shut up about (not that we all didn't see the injury when it happened anyways). As soon as word was out JT might have been playing with a bad hand the hackers hacked and the assholes assholed.

If he did in fact have a concussion, HE may not have even realized it until days or a week later. He may not have been hiding anything from anyone. He may have woken up the other day an been foggy, then said something to the coaches and Dr. T and they checked him out and sat him.

We don't know, because they are not obligated to tell anyone but the league and they can all keep secrets pretty fucking well.

I'm not saying he HAS a concussion or that he DID hide it or that the team HID it, but the possibility of him having a concussion exists whether some of you like it or not.

Like I said I have zero problem with them reporting him having a concussion. None, ziltch, Zippo. The problem I have is him implying his "source" suggested he was HIDING the symptoms. That, knowing JT, I have a serious problem with.

And, it is what he did. Fact.

Remember how San Jose specifically targeted him that night. It was unlike anything I've ever seen in my many years. At least I can't remember seeing another team go after "one" player on the other side so obviously.

Exactly why should he do this?

Man you sure do defend the guy. Why should he spread the "rumor" that Toews hid the symptoms? Why? After all Jim it is a fucking rumor. What's wrong with just stopping at a souce says concussion. Because anything beyond that is just irresponsible.

Just like when he ran the article yesterday about Toews accident. He origionally had he left in the ambulance. I suppose a source told him that. Guess what, it was incorrect, Toews did not leave in the ambulance, and the SAME, not so much reporter, removed it from the story after the fact. Irony? I see some.

I had a very good source talk to me about Montedor the other night. Should I go aroud spreading rumors now? didn't hear a fucking Peep out of me about it. You know why?

And that is everything that is wrong with this league. The players all know each other and they all let shit slip about who is injured and then douchebags or coaches from other teams make the decision to target those injured players.....then they all go running around giving lip service about having respect for one another. At the end of the day, some guys need to grow up and realize that it could be them getting targeted tomorrow and other guys are just plain assholes and don't care either way. Take Jumbo for instance; he punched JT in the face with his glove on because he is a piece of shit. Fortunately the hockey gods have already decided that POSs like Jumbo and the entire Canucks team will never win the cup. Makes you wonder about Boston though, O'Chara did not deserve that cup after what he did to Max or many others. If there is justice in the world Bert won't win a cup with the Wangs this year either (Steve Moore incident).

When a reporter has two credible sources, it's not a rumor.

It's his job to report it, and it's irresponsible if he doesn't.

I believe that Jay corrected the part about the accident, and admitted it was erroneous. Newspapers print retractions all the time.

But when reporters with the credentials of Jay Zawaski report something, I tend to believe it.

It was my understanding a second source said he was "hiding his symptoms" not both of them. So there is "one" source assuming you count one as one.

I have two sources on Montedor I suppose I should run with it. So I can "break" the story. Not a chance, I have class.

Defend him all you want it was handled wrong, and it was 100% irresponsible. Ask any of the other scribes I'm sure they'd say the same thing. And if you say they are a mouth peice of the organization I'd like you to say that to Sassone face to face. He's certainly not one.

And he didn't check the story on JT and the accident first, he went with it instead. Again Irony 101 on "responsible reporting". Retraction or not. He's not a real Journalist or reporter Jim. And for you to even suggest he is is beyond laughable! He's a producer on one of the worst sports radio outlets there is. The type in question is a BLOG not a news publication. Crack me up!

As if this weekend of garbage hockey wasn't bad enough, I heard a rumor that Toews may be missing extended time with this "upper-body injury". Better luck next season guys.
