Heavily influenced? I wouldn't say that... he scored 19 goals this year on the 3rd line with Bickell and Frolik for a majority of the year until Shaw took Frolik's spot. Give him someone like Hossa and Sharp on his wing for a full year and if he doesn't score 50+ points I'd be shocked. What's wrong with a 50+ point 2nd line C? I doubt very many people would be complaining if Bowman brought in a guy that popped in 50 points at that position...

He got 7 of those goals on the PP.

His one season of 47 points was a product of playing on a good line (Ladd and Versteeg). If he would be a fine 2nd line C, why hasn't Q even given him a chance? Shit, he could very easily put Shaw or Kruger as the 3rd line center.

Just wanted to add, as far as center depth and pieces available: Peter Mueller signed with FLA for $1.725M for one year.... ya think we couldnt take a gamble on that? Late news, but Bowman further proof is sleeping once again, just like he always at a position in need!

Forget about Ribeiro, Roy, Ott, whatever... this guy could be an absolute steal for $1.725M.... Bowman spent $2M on Brunette last year. The guy is fucking sleeping.

Might be but he hasn't stayed healthy in a long time. Which is why he went so cheap. Wait to see if it works out before you praise it.

And hind sight is a beautiful thing EVERYONE thought Brunette was a very good 1 year signing, now you see the result you make that statement.

Start bitching about Mcdonough, he's the cause of it all. instead ***** about the Pawn that you knew was a pawn going in. No one will deal with Stan so get used to it.

Can't disagree with you at all. That said, I think Dale made a smart move with Mueller. Bowman definitely started behind the 8-ball, but at this point he should have built a few relationships where he's not getting screwed on every deal. Ultimately it's Rocky's fault, but it's Bowman's responsibility to create those relationships throughout the league. This was the hand he was dealt, and it's not as if Tallon was dealt a great hand either. I just feel that Stan hasn't made the most of his opportunities regardless of whether or not I am there for the negotiations behind the scenes.

Dale also gave Upshall a 4yr 14mil dollar deal...who's had what, 2 full seasons in his career? Or 4yr deals to Begenheim 2.75 and Kopecky 3mil for a combined 50 pts? Or Jovanovski 16+ mil for 4yrs - who's had 2 full seasons out of the last 9

Of course I'd go play for Dale. Easy way to get way overpaid. He'd be a good Politician. Write a bunch of checks with other people's money...let someone else deal with the outcome.

And as far as Mueller as a Center...he took all of 10 face offs last year in 30 gms. Missed the entire previous season. Took 44 faceoffs the entire year before that.....and 92 in 72 gms the year before that.

I think that would make him more of a wing at this point.....but Stan should've handed him 2mil for 32gms the last 2 years.

He had to do something to hit the cap floor.

Well said the Panthers have far more cap space in which to work with than the Hawks.by no means is it any fucking excuse for Stan's lack of being active in the free agent market.

Right after etching his name on the Stanley Cup, and those who had nothing to do with it as well. Pretty good pay off I think.

I'd take Tallon back in a heart beat over the dumb fucks we have in the front office right now. No question. Might as well add Dudley in there too.

Tallon = Candidate for GM of the Year and Stanley Cup Credit

Bowman = Coat tail accountant in over his head, riding on someones back all the way to the Cup.

ok we all get after years of reading posts that pmx doesn't like Dale, but this isn't about what Dale is doing. It's about what STAN is doing. Stan is way in over his head. His daddy didn't do him any favors, and his ineptitude as a GM is showing. Nobody will trade with him, and that's been confirmed, so Rockstar should just step in and insist on a new GM with less baggage. McD won't have to worry about Scooter telling any tales out of school, because it would tarnish the Bowman name if he did.

As far as Mueller goes, if he proves anything to be what Fleischmann is, then it was a great pick up. Remember, nobody want Flas because of his health issue...but this is a discussion for the Panther boards.....

I seen Begenheim play it was worth a gamble that he'd get better. I wanted him on the hawks so bad it hurt, the guy is a poor man's Ladd.

as much as i agree, i think its only fair to give him another season to prove his team can get out of the first round.

see the problem with that is Bowman isn't in danger this year. Q is the one that in the hot seat. Now let's say he gets canned after this season. Next year Bowman is still safe because the new coach and all that horseshit. the year after that it will be results time so the way I see it 3 more years of Scooter, minimum

disagree. the 10/11 and 11/12 seasons were all Bowman. 12/13 will be the kiss of death for Scooter.

I read RK's statement differently than you did, fan, thinking that he was saying they HAD got out of the first round.

When I read your post, I see where Sniper was coming from and you and RK are absolutely correct.
