[A] LEAVE BOWMAN ALONE!

Roy and Ribeiro will never be running away with scoring titles like Thorton did for a few season in SJ. Stalberg and a 3rd rounder for Roy would have been fine.

I'd do Stalberg, Hammer and Hayes for Getzlaf

And Buffalo would have taken that back? I don't buy that. Buffalo has already tried to pry Kane away once by Dangling their franchise goalie. They want one thing from the Hawks.

And as for Roy he may miss most of, if not all of the season. Thank God he wasn't an option.

I haven't liked the guy since day one with how he got the job but I've tried to give him the benefit of the doubt.....just keeps disappointing me what he does. Its gotten to point where I don't believe a single thing that comes out of his mouth.

I think what triggered it was moving Campbell n not using the extra couple mil. Since then its just been a domino effect on me.

Here's a good thought to ponder on....

Shane Doan, age 35, had 50 points. Petr Sykora, age 35, had 42 points. Doan reportedly wants $7.5M per, Sykora MAY get about $1M.

But, it would not be a McSplash!

McAss would have made a splash before the convention if he could have. I think 4 years of Doan at 7 + is far to much even for him. Especially for his current production.

7.5 per for Doan is ludicrous

What about Arnott? He would come cheap, no? 17 goals last year, i think he might could fit nice.

If you are thinking about bringing in Sykora, you might as well just pencil in Saad in the top 2 (which he more than likely is). Doan brings that physical/grinding attitude that Sykora has never been known for.

I don't think at this point in his career he would be a #2 center. Maybe a slower version of Bolland at this point.

I would be ok with giving Bolland a legit shot at number 2 C.

Not saying Arnott is the answer, but he could be a decent pick up.

Had nothing to do with bringing in Sykora. I'm content with Saad playing PF LW.

Hey Stan Bowman traded Ryan Dempster to the Rangers! I bet Grimson is happy!

Surely the INTANGIBLES are worth $6+ million.

If the Rangers picked up Magnus Johanson Grimson would be predicting an extra 4 points to get them to 140 on the year.

I don't think Bolland really is a 2nd line center. Could he fill in? Probably, but over the long term IMO he's not the answer.

He's a good 3rd line checking center. His point totals over the years have been heavily influenced by his line mates (Havlat, Ladd, Versteeg).

Heavily influenced? I wouldn't say that... he scored 19 goals this year on the 3rd line with Bickell and Frolik for a majority of the year until Shaw took Frolik's spot. Give him someone like Hossa and Sharp on his wing for a full year and if he doesn't score 50+ points I'd be shocked. What's wrong with a 50+ point 2nd line C? I doubt very many people would be complaining if Bowman brought in a guy that popped in 50 points at that position...
