Mind blowing your like the only person who can't see Coopers explosive ability as a receiver. Can he take a bubble screen and turn it into a 60 yard TD? Yes. Can he turn a 5 yard out into a 50 yard TD? Yes. How about about a quick slant? You bet. He'll be a number 1 because that's what he's always been while dominating the best conference in football for 3 years.

Why do so many Cooper supporters gotta always throw in what a scout say or where he is mocked. Receivers have a very high bust rate and these scouts miss often on there projections. Im going off on odds and what dimensions does Cooper bring to the NFL Corners in the NFL level dont bite as easy as they do in college. You need more then route running to be a star in this league.

Is this a joke about White. He only played 2 years at West Virginia and 2 years at a JC before that. His 1st year which was his junior year he had 35 rec in 9 starts on a horrible football team.

Bama had historically been a run heavy team. Did Blake Sims boost Cooper #s or did Cooper boost Sims #s. Maybe they both benifited from Lane Kiffin who opened there offense up and caught teams by surprise.

White definitely passes the visual like no other.

What does that even mean? White passes the visual like no other. :dunno:

Amari Cooper can get in and out of his breaks very quick and is a good route runner but he aint no home run threat. Those who think he is really need to look at tape on some real home run threats who did it before him like Harvin, Watkins, Cobb, Becham.

Remember earlier in this thread when you said, " what the fuck does elite quickness have to do with a WR"? And my rebuttal was it helps creates separation.

Take note, This is first round LSU CB Collins.

Cooper breaks inside so hard and so fast it almost knocks Collins on his ass. Collins does recover just in time to get stiff armed into the end zone. Ohh, and that nasty spin move without breaking stride that makes two players look silly in between.

The definition of explosion is right in front of your eyes:

Sorry my friend. The tape shows he's very much a home run threat. Those plays I listed are plays that actually happened.

He dominated the SEC for 3 years lol I gotta ? if you watch college football now. He dominated last year shit he put up some ridiculous #s and he had good years but he definitely did not dominate especially on a run heavy team.

Mike Evans dominated all his years there, Jordan Mathews dominated his last 2 years there.

Down year as a Sophomore. As a freshman he put up 1000 and 11 TDs. That's unheard of for a true freshman WR.

It happens here and there. Im sure Watkins did it and Evans might of did it but yea on a run heavy team ill give him that.

QUOTES ON AMARI COOPER
"Cooper is one of the top two receivers in the nation, if not the best, and he's been super explosive. You have to guard him on runs because of the screen game, and you have to guard him on the deep ball. He's a difficult matchup for everybody, including us."

Funny you Mentioned Watkins. Same exact size and almost identical 40 and vert.

You mean the same tape like the top 10 receivers in this class shows. Taking bubble screens and quick slants. Half of the top 10 can probably show off there explosiveness as a rookie on special teams something Cooper will not be asked to do because he lacks it.

Just because you say it doesn't make it so. He doesn't lack "it" your just being ignorant.

Sammy Watkins's:
40 YARD DASH: 4.43 SEC
BENCH PRESS: 16 REPS
VERTICAL JUMP: 34.0 INCH
BROAD JUMP: 126.0 INCH
3 CONE DRILL: 6.95 SEC
20 YARD SHUTTLE: 4.34 SEC

Amari Cooper:
40 YARD DASH: 4.42 SEC
VERTICAL JUMP: 33.0 INCH
BROAD JUMP: 120.0 INCH
3 CONE DRILL: 6.71 SEC
20 YARD SHUTTLE: 3.98 SEC

Both 6'1 210. Cooper also jumped 34" at his pro day to match Watkins.

Yea his vertical is very weak and dont run routes like Cooper but there is no denying he is explosive. Watkins is very physical so was curious on strength and how they compare and saw Cooper opted out at the combine and i cant find anything on his proday. It looks like he didnt do any bench presses at all.

I don't worry about bench numbers with WRs too much. Cooper breaks tackles and has a nasty stiff arm. He's strong enough.

Watkins went first. Benjamin 6-5 monster, Evans 6-4 monster, Mathews 6-3 steal in the draft, Devante Adams 6-1 39 inch vertical, Becham no comment needed on him, Cooks 5-10 explosive home run threat with a 36 inch vertical. Marquise Lee home run threat with a 38 inch vertical.

Watkins is a very physical receiver so he can out power you but maybe he shoudnt of went #4 odds are slim for a 6-1 or shorter receiver who have below average hops to be a #1

No they aren't. That's the thing. Watkins didn't get drafted first because teams were worried about his vert. That should tell you something right there. He got drafted first because he's a very good football player. He's a legit number 1.

Consider this; Cooper will not get taken in the top 10 if teams view him as a two or a complimentary guy.

But He will go in the top ten because he's just a really fucking good wr. Period. Despite his vert.

You're simply putting way to much emphasis on vertical jump. Its still nearly 3 feet. 6'1 210 is still 2'1/2 inches taller and 20 lbs heavier then the average size of an NFL corner.

Watkins and Cooper are total opposites. Watkins is the definition of explosive. One of the best home run threats to come out of college in a long time. Cooper film at Bama compared to Watkins at Clemson isnt even a close comparison.

Like i was trying to say if you are 6-1 or under and got no ups you need to be very explosive.

So Cooper going top 10 vouches he is gonna be fucking good. So i guess Winston, Mariota, Gregory are gonna be fucking good because scouts projected them top 10.
