Tatum is actually a solid defender. maybe not all-nba level, but still solid. And when Porzingis comes back, both he and Horford rank top 20 in some advanced defensive metric. I think they'll be fine.

And Siakam isn't really a threat to go off for 30+ every night anyway. If he becomes a problem, I'm sure they can double him and try having some others beat them, but I don't see that being an issue.

If Boston goes in serious, they should in easily.

Brown is a bit shorter than I thought he was, but I looked up their wingspans and Brown has a 7' wingspan, Tatum 6'11 and Siakam 7'3. I suppose same difference either way. Imo 3 inches aren't that big of a deal if you're a good defender, but I can see how one could say otherwise

All Defensive teams announced

1st team: Wemby, Bam, AD, Herb Jones, Gobert
2nd team: Jaden McDaniels, Jrue Holiday, Derrick White, Caruso, Jalen Suggs

Guards not allowed on the 1st team this year I guess

Lol Pacers just shit themselves bigly blowing it in regulation.

And hey Tatum finally hit something in the clutch in OT. Dude was non existant in the last 10 minutes of the 4th, as is typical for him in close games.

Yeah, that was Indiana's chance to steal one in Boston. Not that I think it would have mattered in the long run, but with Porzingis being out until at least game 4, they could have made it interesting. Game 2 is basically a must win for them now.

This is kind of why I wish they didn't switch to "positionless" voting. Big men are disproportionately favored for defensive ratings.

I get Silver's argument that the stereotypic positions don't reflect today's NBA, but they could still do something like G/F, G/F, G/F, F/C, F/C.

defense in the post is different than defense on the wing. Would be nice to acknowledge the best at both.

My prediction is the Pacers will be blown out.

Note: I'm pretty bad at predicting things like this, which is why I don't gamble on sports.

i would lean that way as well despite my prediction that the pacers would give the celtics trouble. losing game 1 in that fashion, i feel like most teams dont bounce back well in game 2, but we shall see

i still like how indiana matches up with boston, though

I actually am really enjoying how unpredictable the NBA has been this season hahaha
This sport needs this. The playoffs are so much better without the warriors & lebron.

Ratings will prob tell us it's the worst ratings ever.

Warriors and LeBron had high ratings.

Well that foul call at :40 or so seconds was BS.
I thought so too. Hard to get calls in Boston. Which sucks because it’s the most racist fan base in all of America. Which is saying something.
