Roschon is just a guy. The running game is important in Johnson’s offense. Swift is not good enough to carry the running game on his own. He’s never been that kind of back. Plus, if he gets hurt, who do you want to rely on? Roschon? A good running game does matter to the success of Johnson’s offense. It’s a good RB class. Get a good back on a rookie contract. I am confident they will draft one somewhere in the first 3 rounds.

They have much more pressing needs than a running back.

Who we draft is dependent upon how we spend the 60+ million.

I dont want Jeanty in the first but if we sign Dalman and Smith for example I could see us going RB in the 2nd or 3rd.

I agree with your general premise, but Roschon straight up sucks. I think Emeri Demarcado had more yards in one carry against the Bears than Roschon had the entire season. Roschon doesn't do anything well.

They have needs in a lot of places. Fields’ ability as a runner masked the status of their rb room. It may not be the worst, but the rb room is near the bottom of the league. I dont think Swift will be back after this season. Roschon is the 3rd or 4th back on a lot of other teams.

People act like it’s an either/or situation. They can improve multiple position groups in the offseason and the draft. Great RBs make an average OL look better than they are.

Fans overvalue their players occasionally. Swift is a good back and a much better 3rd down back who can operate in space. Roschon is the 4th option on a good team.

They will draft a rb within the first 3 rounds. That does not mean they cannot also address the OL.

Jones, Smith, Dalman, rookie, Wright with Pryor, Shelton, Kiran, Bates as backups is a good enough start. Did the Lions and most teams just have a bunch of 1st and 2nd round OL on the bench? You were the main one pointing out most teams dont just have stud backups on the OL.

I think Ben understands what he wants. If he drafts a RB in the 2nd or 3rd then so be it. If he wants to draft 4 OL/DL then ok.

I doubt it but you seem like you are willing to bet your life savings on it. I think there is a better chance they use a 2nd and that 3rd to trade back into the late first and take another good player.

MY guess is they go for a cheaper backup RB in FA like warren or javonte.

Yeah, that's kind of the 'rub' to the offseason. Bears always think they can just grab OLs in FA, but teams don't let good, healthy OLs become FAs in the first place. That's why the Steelers snatched up James Daniels when the Bears didn't extend him. They need to draft OLs because you rarely acquire starting OL talent via FA or the waiver wire.

No they didnt. Zeitler was not there when they drafted Gibbs. They had Jackson and Vaitai as the expected starters at G.

Again if Johnson wants a RB, who are you to say otherwise? Do you think he cant figure out the OL without your help?
