At what point does Rose overtake Pippen?

Yeah, I just just don't think Pippen and his jump-hook shot would be consistent enough to beat Rose the majority of the time. Rose is athletic enough to stay in front of Pippen and contest all of his shots. That's why my money is on a 22-year-old Rose even over a 27 year-old Pippen.

Oh hell no, thats where we disagree. I love Rose. But at 27, Pippen was way more nba and basketball savy, than Rose at 22. In that matchup, i have Pippen.

I don't think it would be pure domination but I still think scoring would come much easier for Rose than it would Pippen. That's my take on it but I know where you are coming from.

Yeah we are pretty close, with our opinions. I just hope Rose stays healthy, because he can be top 20 all time.

That's true...Also when pippen was 22,he wasn't as good as rose...As a matter of fact, I remeber people calling pippen mentally weak and not tough whenhe first started out...By the time he was 27 he bacame the great player he was...Rose does have a head start at his age....

Well I sure as hell hope not...but time will tell when ever there's a basketball season again...the sooner the better, because the more time that a player like rose misses a season, the more rusty players will be and have to build themselves up again, but then again it might make him hungrier...

My point is it was not one on one. Rose was shut down with a secondary defender lagging off of him.

That was pretty much one on one...again, those 2 last shots in game 4? One on one...just as George gave him some problems in that Indiana series. Lebron didn't need much help. Rose says he has something for that though...we will see.

It's never one-on-one in the NBA no matter which way you slice it. Roy Hibbert/Joel Anthony were waiting under the rim and the other Pacers were denying shooters the ball while Rose was looking to pass.

Yeah there is never one on one defense, defenders are as good as the help they have behind them and sometimes around them.

But I think Rose it would be hard for Rose to clearly pass Scottie as the second best Bull of all time. I think the younger generation will go with Rose because they seen him more than Pippen. While the older generation will go with Pippen.

I think Rose will come very close to Pippen, but I think when Rose career is done, Pippen may still get a nod over him as the second best Bull of all time.

We all are so optimistic about Rose. But for all we know, he might have a change of heart somewhere and become like so many other great young players that have went down in flames thanks to a newly found ego.

Theyve asked Rose if hes 6'3 and he laughed and said sure, if you wanna say that. Hes 6'1 1/2 at the most.
