Have you ever played? Probably not. I have. I played in the streets of chicago, washington park, englewood, yates park, garfield park, everywhere. From 12 to 24 I did nothing but play ball when I wasn't working.

If I am deciding between Pippen and Barkley to build a franchise, I'm choosing Chuck. The guy was a mediocre defender but affected the game on every possession with (both) his amazing scoring and rebounding. Pippen did a lot of things exceptionally but Barkley's scoring is enough to easily say he was a better player than Pippen. Of course, not as good of a defender. But a lot better, when weighing all attributes, as a player.

No. I rate according to ROLES on championship teams. What robert horry did game in and out is very replaceable. But rodman/pippen, mchale/parrish, worthy/jabbar. These guys can only be replaced by other all-time greats.

It's not as though Jordan couldn't have won a playoff game without Pippen... that's silly to even bring up. He could have won a championship without Pippen at all back in the 1995-96 title. They probably only win in the high 50s or very low 60s but there was no team that could touch the Bulls that year outside of Seattle.

Give Jordan Kendall Gill in Pippen's place and the Bulls still would would have won multiple championships in the 1990's. Maybe not all six... but possibly.

Barkley had a lot of depth. That 93 suns team is comparable to some of tim duncans spurs championship teams. The difference is that duncan, while not being the offensive scorer that barkley was, made up for it by being a great defender.

Now just think, that suns team had aabout 5 guys that on aa different team could get you around 20 ppg. Kevin johnson, dan majrle, tom chambers, cedric ceballos. What if barkley decided that he would score maybe 20 ppg, or better yet when was needed, but got in shape, and used that athletic ability to play some defense. They'd probably have a championship.

I don't think that Rose is anywhere near as good as Pippen is. Pippen brought many different things to his game. Luol Deng reminds me alot of how Pippen played. Maybe it will change in 4 or 5 years.

I don't really see much of Pippen in Deng's game except for perhaps having to guard the best perimeter player and throwing in some 3s at a 34% clip.
