This opening road trip is freaking brutal outside of Montreal.

Agreed, I'm sure the bitter conspiracy twitter bots are saying this is part of what the Hawks agreed to in return for the obviously rigged #1 pick.

The Colorado game is the weird one to me and I get scheduling sucks, but making a nice curved line path from Pitt to Bos up to Canada and instead of landing home or even Detroit or Columbus or something they jump Chicago go over to Colorado and then backtrack to Chicago. That's a late 930 game too which means they won't get back to Chicago till early morning the 20th, with home opener the next day. Welcome to the big leagues rookies.

What the hell is going on at the UC that Bedard doesn't make his home debut until 2 weeks into the season?

I see Phish is in town from 10/13-10/15. Bulls play tomorrow and 10/17 but nothing is going on tonight or on 10/16, 10/19 or 10/20. Might have made more sense to have the Bruins come here first.

Also, Boston looks significantly more skilled overall than Pittsburgh did last night. Pretty impressive by the B-Hawks to withstand this first 10 minutes.
