I wanted to quit all sports briefly there watching him down

Hockey players are something different. I'd probably be on the shelf for 8 weeks after that wipeout - either from my back or my legs. DARDO just shakes it off during the commercial break and is back on the ice.

That's been a rule for a little while now.
I think it's stupid.
Obviously, I've been away from the game for a minute. So what does it entail exactly?

Beecher throws a dirty ass boarding hit and Dickinson comes in to defend his teammate. So since he starts a fight he gets a 10 minute misconduct? Does that mean anyone that starts a fight gets a 10 minute misconduct?

That's pretty stupid. Hitting from behind and boarding someone should be a bigger penalty than starting a fight.

The way his head bounced off the boards was frightening.

I was worried dude was gonna be concussed two games into his career, which would not be good at all.

Tough loss. Hung in most of the game. Hall was a big loss, then short shifting more in the 3rd with Dickinson going out for 15. Really awesome for Bedard to get that first goal pressure off his shoulders, and in front of the family. Nother nice game for 55. And continue to be impressed with the big pickle. Really like the speed Reichel is bringing but he needs to either slow down and control a bit more or get the rest of his body to sync up. Not a great game from Kaiser, can't have those penalties. Gotta say so far a lot of the pieces brought in are obviously not the greatest but the fit and chemistry so far seems to be on point. Can't under estimate how important it will be for Hall to be ok.

Secretly holding out hope with the cap space that they can be good and bring Kane back at a prorated mega deal. Won't happen but one can dream.

I don't, fighting is inherently stupid. Not saying Im not entertained when it happens but with all of the concussion Intel out there it should be legislated out of the game.

Also randomly I don't watch much on TNT but that group is really solid. Gretzky doesn't seem to try to pull rank or pull the great one card. Paul sucks but is solid in this role. Only King Hank is a little rough and he's easily the best dressed and unsurpassed knowledge. Beats ESPN and a lot of the csn groupings

That's just it though the rule is as stupid as letting them fight. I say either let them fight or don't. I'm fine either way but the instigator rule is just stupid and doesn't really do anything to deter fighting because sometimes it seems like it's arbitrarily added on.

greetings fellow ice heads, here to enjoy the hawks! long time fan. (millionaire irl)
Not impressed with your rounding up of $900,000 in total assets, and likely more than that in debt, fuck off. Bring back @KBIB who brings actual content to the board.

Also, holy fuck, #98 gonna be legend.

Mmm, k then, just reminding you that IRL anyone with real money doesn't speak, write, or sound like you. Having nice cars does not really translate to being rich.

That's ok, as long as whatever assets you own make you happy then it's all good My Boy.

Also, if you think I'm poor and just jealous of your riches then that's fine as well, maybe you're right, maybe not. I will concede that I do NOT own any fancy watches tho like you My Boy.

Kaiser was a bit unnoticeable to me, which isn't a bad thing especially this young and so early. I've been impressed with Vlasic especially at his size. Looking forward to seeing if he can continue to grow or if this will end up being his ceiling. Korchinski, I'm no talent scout by any means, other than he seemed to be everywhere last night
I agree...he wasn't noticed that much and it is a good thing....no penalties, making good passes, especially getting the puck out of the D-zone and some good 'stretch' passes. He and the other two rookie D-men are also tough in the corners...for their ages, imo, they are extremely good. There is a saying in hockey that...."the game is won in the corners"....if you know what I mean. Yea, Vlassic is going to be a beast!

I thought they were a bit squirrely - especially Kaiser. To be expected, though. Let's not forget that Keith looked like a newborn antelope on ice when he broke into the league. Nothing that can't be fixed, of course. Kinda wish Pickle Surprise would play more to his size. Over they looked better and more comported as the game whent on.

And yeah, Korch should be on PP1.

Much tougher nut to crack in Boston tonight.
and I remember myself cussing Seabrook when he first came up....he was out of position at times, obviously he fixed that. For their first games, after making the roster out of camp, I thought they showed alot. And yes, there is room for improvement.

Yeah, I know, just having some fun with the kid.

I don't want to discourage him since he is doing an admirable job of replacing the late Bob of Elgin in filling the role of the board's "I'm rich and you all are poor" character.
