If that’s the trade I 100% am fine with that. Here why:

1: Fole and Cohen don’t matter one bit
2: all that matters is the first
3: there’s zero guarantees a good qb is there round one when the Bears pick. Likely you’d have to trade two firsts to move up.
4: yes Wentz was bad last year BUT he’s proven he can play at a high level in this league..... none of the rookies have
5: the contract is no where near as bad as people think..... do some research folks.

Foles and Cohen are fine. Really want to keep 20 for an OT or trade down. 2nd and a non 1st round pick from 22 would look better. Dumping Foles and Cohen's salary would help. If they are able to move some of the money form 21 and 22 to the back 2 years would help.

So the bears are on the verge of sending a first round pick for Carson Wentz, who’s coming off of his worst season. All to save Paces ass.

At the end of 2019 I said this is why you can’t bring Pace back. He doesn’t care about the Bears future, just his present.

Better than giving up multiple picks. A back up QB, back up RB and a 1st (which tbh bears aren't drafting a QB at 20 that would be better than Wentz). I hope Pace pulls something like the Mack trade and gets a late round pick back.

Not horrible overall, but just not that excited about Wentz.
