He was my first choice, but I also would've been fine with Vrabel, Slowik, Harbaugh, Belichick, etc. Pretty much any of the rock star candidates out there this season that I've never seen before.
Nooooooo!

Last night I was sick as a dog so your usual idiocy where you make obvious statements as if you're dropping knowledge on the rest of us was far more annoying than usual. And you never answered my question who you want the Bears to get at QB to own the NFC.

Over Eberflus? And as long as he didn't have GM duties. He wasn't my first, second, third or fourth choice tho, but I would take him over Eberflus all day.
Game has passed him by, he definitely calls his players by first and last name

It was a little more than "slight." His TD percentage dropped by 1.2% while his INT% stayed almost identical. Completion percentage went from 70% to 65%. Rating dropped from 101 to 92. Considering the skill players around him, those are pretty solid drops.
It already started in the 2nd 1/2 of the previous year. D's caught up and Geno came back down to earth a bit. Still had a winning record, threw for over 240 yards per game and had an over a 2-1 TD to INT ratio, on a pace for well over 4000 yards if he played every game.

My favorite teams
  1. Chicago Cubs
  1. Chicago Bulls
  1. Chicago Bears
  1. Chicago Blackhawks
  1. Illinois Fighting Illini
Also Seattles Oline regressed a bit. Seattle Defense was not that good as well.

An offense needs a defense to stop the opposing offense to get more touches.

Shanahan/McVay have some of the highest rates of screen passes. Difference between theirs and Getsy's, is theirs work a lot more often.

Using screens should not be a surprise.
Getsy screens never seemed to be moving.....looked like they were all in swamp water

Seattle fans seem ecstatic he's no longer their OC. Their offense wasn't really any better than the Bears offense this year despite having a better quarterback and more weapons at receiver. I hope we aren't being out of town stupid here, but this is exactly the type of hire you get when you aren't selecting an OC to be your head coach. Most of the good ones are interviewing for head coaching jobs.

At the very least, he's an experienced playcaller who oversaw the development of Geno Smith—so not a guy who gets hired for working with a HOF talent (Getsy).

Look forward to seeing what he can do with Caleb Williams.
Check your facts and the only reason you might consider Geno better is because of how that O elevated him.

Seems like an excellent hire to me. It is weird how Seattle fans hate the guy though, cause from the outside looking in he seems like a great coach.
That’s normal from fans. If you are not winning super bowls, fans always quick to say the suck when coaches are released and what not.

The point is productive screens. Not how often you used them.

We'll see how it goes in that regard.

Getsy's use was "lets do 5 screens over the next 6 plays!"
For one, they were the least productive screen team apparently
Two, your comment about SF and McVay having the highest amount of screens is also wrong. They are middle of the pack according to this:
