Big Cam fan here and not really. Cam barely threw in college he had way more critics where Mariota lit it up passing and running. Mariota is way more farther along then Cam and Kap. Kap and Mariota look like clones they are very similar. Cap has bigger biceps and frame and Mariota is quicker.

I think he meant that Mariota could have the same impact that Cam did his rookie season. Mariota is farther along than Cam and Kap, that is true. Also, Kaep has a stronger arm but Mariota has wayyyyyyyyyy better touch. Having a strong arm doesn't mean squat if you're throwing it 90mph, on every pass.

I think this QB class sucks ass. Better off hoping Cutler bounces back in a new offense with no distractions like Brandon Marshall.

It does suck but because we need a QB people are seriously looking at Mariota even though he's not the best player available at #7 let alone #2.

QBs will be over drafted while better players at different positions will fall.

If Newton was in the draft this year, I'd take him over Mariota. I wouldn't want either at 2, but this is obviously hypothetical. I haven't seen a private workout - my only concern is the arm. He's a great guy and athlete.

The people who are saying this QB class sucks are they the same people who said Manziel is better than Bridgewater?

P.s. What is Cutler going to bounce back to as he was never at a better point before last year.

This QB class sucks, and I had Manziel as a third day-prospect.

The rest, outside of Winston/Mariota aren't good. There is no one in the 2016 QB class, that has shown, they will be as talented as Winston/Mariota. If Mariota is available at 7 or if the Titans really want Cutler (doubt this part), you draft him.

People can disagree but the consensus is that Mariota is a top 10 talent.

In his MMQB column on Monday, SI's Peter King wrote that the feeling around the league is that there are nine "prime" players in the 2015 draft, and everything else is a total crapshoot. From King:

"After that, beauty starts to be in the eye of the beholder. I had one GM tell me: 'The 17th pick on our board might be the 53rd pick on another team’s board—and that could be a team we really respect.'"

The nine players King refers to:

Jameis Winston, quarterback
Marcus Mariota, quarterback
Leonard Williams, defensive tackle
Kevin White, wide receiver
Amari Cooper, wide receiver
Dante Fowler, outside linebacker
Vic Beasley, outside linebacker
Brandon Scherff, offensive tackle
Trae Waynes, cornerback

The good thing is, even if we skip on Mariota/stay with Cutler, we're still going to get a good player.

Actually, I think he played decently in the games he played in 2013. If you think 2013 Jay Cutler sucks, you are in for a rough few yrs probably.

AGAIN, I THINK HE PLAYED DECENTLY, NOT GREAT.

I would still want Manziel over this years qb class and I don't want Manziel.

Now that I think about it, a Cutler trade is still quite possible before the season starts. The feeling was the Bears would have traded him before the deadline when the 10 mil guaranteed for 2016 set in but that would have kicked in for any team he was traded to anyway so that makes no difference. I wouldn't be surprised to see him traded on draft day or before. I just don't think the Bears will get as favorable a deal as this particular rumor suggests.

X2.....lol, maybe not that low, but....definitely lower than Bwatt.

I just watched Manziel and thought "his game is in no way transferrable to the NFL". This combined with his off- and on field-antics just had me rating him as a late round flier-kind of guy. I literally laughed when the Browns picked him. It was obvious to me that they'd just made a huuuuuuge mistake.

Manziel and Tebow being picked in the 1st round of the NFL Draft just proves, that hype can really help some of these lesser talented guys out.

If the Bears want to move up, it better be for Williams.

Also if the Titans want Cutler they can offer their 33rd overall pick and keep their #2. #33 + 7th rndr for Cutty + 5th rndr makes far more sense.

Mariota is nothing like either of those guys. Tebow was simply a terrible thrower of the football. That was well known. Manziel has too many off the field issues and work ethic issues to be successful.

Mariota will beat you with his arm before his legs and is known for being a good kid and a solid worker off the field. I think Mariota looks a lot more comfortable in the pocket than either of those guys did and shows the capability to make NFL caliber throws from the pocket. Unless it is a designed run play for him, Mariota attempts to stay in the pocket as long as he can and when he does escape he keeps his eyes down the field rather than try to make a play with his legs. Those are some good habits and tendencies that you want to look for in an NFL QB.

I didn't compare Manziel and Tebow to Mariota at all. I was simply commenting on Manziel, who someone else mentioned.

I agree completely that Mariota BY FAR is the better prospect of the three out of college, and definitely worth a 1st round pick, as opposed to the two others. I'm not sure I want him at #7, but I'm not even sure he's around at that time, so it probably doesn't matter.

If beating you is throwing a slant, a screen or making one read, he'll be all over it.

BTW, since we are just making up things and bringing them into unrelated conversations, BRIDGEWATER WAS A MUCH better passer than Mariota is coming out, PERIOD.

One thing I want to point out. If it is true that the Chargers and Saints both are considering a move for Mariota then it would make sense that the Bears would too. Mike McCoy and Adam Gase came up in Denver together and we all know Ryan Pace was with the Saints forever. They are most likely looking for the same traits in a QB

I get what you're saying, but just because Pace was a part of the Saints' franchise, doesn't mean that he agrees 100% with their player evaluations and wants in a QB.
