Ha-Ha-Ha. Same ol' Bears -- doesn't matter who the GM and coach is. Keep the trash and trade away the best player on your team for a 5th round pick!!! I hope Marshall tears it up for the Jets this coming season. And the Bears "brain trust" will probably keep Cutler for another year so that his 2016 salary is guaranteed too. Doh! This is going to be a sloooooow rebuilding process. Green Bay, Detroit and Minny are probably happy today...

ND is horrible.
And neither are elite.

Romo was 10 years ago.

Wilson was a 3rd rounder.

Go back and look at all the qbs taken in the 5th or later over the last 15 years.

You will find very few who played any games of significance in the NFL. You will find none who are elite

What is elite?

Total QBR 2014 NFL regular season.

Another thing has become very clear though. We are going back to the days of having a couple of starting QBs each year, once again being the place where WR go to die, and praying that our opponents don't score more than ten points.
LOL none of these things are clear at all. You're writing off an exciting new regime before they've even had their first off-season, because they got rid of Brandon freaking Marshall? Absurd. Chill out and let them do their work, no?

It's the same group it was before minus a 31 year old locker room cancer who players and owners hated and management decided wasn't worth the headaches.
Name the players who hated him and cite a proof source besides Berstein

Do the Jets know what they're getting into? Marshall is absolute poison on a losing team; even worse one without a quarterback. This trade makes no sense for them, but good job Ryan Pace in finding a sucker out there ... now, onto the next ...

Ummm...didn't Bennett throw punches in camp last year? Excellent teammate!
He did. I think pretty much all teams have training ground scraps though. Not a biggie imo.

Punches are okay but calling out teammates in the locker room is not? Little bit of a double standard there Mick.

Brandon was the first Bear I met at Halas Hall. He treated me like family for the last two years. Wish him nothing but the best with the NYJ

Yeah, Marshall sure was hated by the Bears players wasn't he? What, no tweet from Robbie Gould and Rib Fat?

coming close to injuring your rookie first round pick's shoulder and getting suspended from training camp is kind of a biggie if you're talking "locker room cancer"

I think that they should have at least tried to renegotiate his contract, so yeah. But the Bear's management doesn't usually think very well when it comes to little stuff like that. Can't wait to see what gem they find to pick up Marshall's small numbers at wide receiver (oh wait, that might take 2-3 guys to add up to).

So yeah, you think he would have been a great piece to hang onto during the rebuild?

Ugh. Pace better have a hell of a draft, otherwise the Bears are going to be worse off than they were when he got here.

Whatever, not interested in semantics games....

The guy had an elite yr last yr by any measure and is a top 10 QB in this league and has been one for a long long time.

That's good enough to build a title contender around.
