Well......they are.....

You'd also think that Stern would want the powerful ally that is Reinsdorf as you head into the off-season. Of course, Stern did freeze his second draft lottery envelope a couple seasons ago - so he did do something.

they have competed this year...for the first time in 13 years...we'll see what the new CBA does. we may be forced to keep boozer and let Deng or Noah go...

I think the Bulls will be alright. It's going to get a little sketchy with probably going to the hard carp, but I think they've done well enough to keep the key people in place.

Ideally, the new hard cap rule will be that you cannot release the guy owed the most money, instead of not being able to release the guy w/ the highest salary. That's Noah, I believe, as he's signed for one more year than Boozer. that would let us keep Deng and Noah and rid ourselves of Boozer...

But if the cap forces us to lose Deng or Noah who do you keep? They're both vital to our team's success. I doubt the team would drop Boozer, but he's naturally the easy choice to drop.

And if he came to Chicago to do it with Rose, Deng, Gibson, and Noah that proves he could have done it alone how exactly?

You'd be hard pressed to find many star players that won titles "alone"...Why should Lebron be held to a different standard?

I would have to say its because they joined together as players. Usually owners assemble teams. Not to say Riley didn't have a part in this, but it seemed these guys agreed ahead of time to get together.

No team has ever been assembled like this through free agency before. You might say its not that big of a deal and no different from a trade.

Most championship teams have been brought up through the draft. Usually two key players are drafted and the third is though a trade. Key point, Bulls drafted Jordan and Pippen, traded for Rodman..in the case of the first three peat, Jordan, Pippen, and Grant were all drafted.

Bird and McHale, drafted, Parish traded for. Magic and Worthy drafted, Kareem was traded for.

And yes, if we got those three guys, nobody would be crying here. I wanted LeBron despite me never liking his antics...Bosh is who I really wanted. We would gain a bunch of idiotic bandwagon fans as well on top of our already steady fan base.

Well I guess we can always get another Noah...I think it's a lose lose either way although we'd still have Gibson and Asik. Noah's intangible factors are part of why he's so valuable to the team, as lame as that sounds.

Korver needs to go, it's nice to see him play when he's on but he's an absolute liability on the floor when he's shooting cold, give Rasual Butler a chance in game 5....the bulls have absolutely nothing to lose now.

FirstTimer, go the **** away. You only show up to put down Bulls' fans trying to vent when times are uncertain.

Where were you all motherfuckin' year long while they were winning 62 games?

**** this game.

The true weakness of this team showed tonight AGAIN. No one can step up and score besides Rose. We don't have that solid #2 guy like the better teams have.

You know...All the teams go through heartbreak before they are successful. Jordan went through it, LeBron went through it.... we just have to take our heartbreak and learn from it.

I hated this game as much as anyone else but come on rami. You must win graciously and when your team loses fair and square and the guy we thought was the mvp gets completely owned when the game was on the line you gotta accept defeat graciously just the same. I'm just wondering what your new picture is going to be once you realize how stupid that looks. The Heat are failures? Really, Rami? Really?

I feel you. It's like people are not supposed to be passionate fans. We are supposed to robotic, wannabe NBA analysts or something.

I'm pissed off and I don't need non-passionate, care nothing front-runners telling me or anyone else how to feel about the situation my team is in.

I'm not sure what you're looking for at a Chicago message board. A lot of people on here aren't objective. Nor should you expect them to be.
I'm not so much asking for objectivity. Just some sort of rational intelligent thought.

They don't have to be...but they shouldn't become angry at fans who are objective...
Bingo.

I would have to say its because they joined together as players. Usually owners assemble teams. Not to say Riley didn't have a part in this, but it seemed these guys agreed ahead of time to get together.
Great, the conspiracy theory angle......

The Bulls didn't draft Pippen.

They traded for him on draft night.

They key center for that team was brought in through a trade as well.

Bird and McHale, drafted, Parish traded for. Magic and Worthy drafted, Kareem was traded for.
Way different era of player movement. Even still, the 76ers at the same time didn't win until they brought in Moses Malone.

You can't compare the current day team building with the type of free agency we have with the 1980's and the way "free agency" was at the time. It just doesn't sync up.

Players don't move around the same way they did in the 80's to hold the 2010-2011 Miami Heat to the same standard as the 1980's Lakers and Celtics makes no sense.

Put down? I haven't said anything that isn't true. Sorry I am able to seperate my disappointment in a Bulls loss from getting all angry and butt hurt over losing to the team that is playing better.

Where were you all motherfuckin' year long while they were winning 62 games?

Enjoying the hell out of watching the games but not getting all tied up in the group think and hysteria around these sites and making this team into something more than it was. I was the one guy here before the season even started getting roasted for saying I'd still take the Heat in a 7 game series over the Bulls because the Heat were more talented and just deep enough to wear them down.

Granted I didn't see the Bulls getting the #1 seed but a lot of the reason people on this site are so pissed is they were on this site all season letting group think take over and getting too damn excited and as a result building this team bigger and bigger in their own minds.

People are pissed that the Bulls didn't live up to their expectations..when the expectations were set too high to begin with IMO. Before the season I realyl doubt many people felt the Bulls were a 60+ win team and a #1 seed in the East. They accomplished that, and that's great but that shouldhave been tempered all the way along with the fact that the Bulls were overachieving their initial expectations...that got forgotten somewhere along the line.

Now you have people on this site, the same ones who were beggin for/looking forward too/ getting all hyped over Lebron and maybe on or both of Wade and Bosh coming here acting butt hurt as hell they are in Miami and beating us. You also now have people wanting to trade for Dwight Howard when this site was so staunchly against getting Carmelo Anthony it was astounding. How much of a factor has Noah been in this series? How much of a factor would Melo have been as a legit wing scorer that can create? Watching the 180's on this board is dizzying.

This baor dis up in arms over officiating that isn't even bad. Seemingly every call that goes against the Bulls is a bad call..even though if they watched the play it was the right call. The Bulsl board seems to be having a mental breakdown.

The Bulls are a damn good team and were/are fun as hell to watch this season but that doesn't mean I have to lose all sense of rational thinking when evaluating this team and what it can or can't do.

Us passionate fans shouldn't come under fire for voicing our frustrations by the "objective" snobs who fashion themselves wannabe ESPN NBA TV commentators. This is a place for Chicago sports fans, not national wannabe's who don't work for a network to act like they do.

I wasn't aware that in order to be a Chicago sports fan I had to voice absurd/irrational frustrations and wasn't allowed to keep things in perspective.

You're allowed to voice your personnal "frustrations" all you want just as I'm allowed to keep things in perspective personally. I'm also allowed to respond to your postings and call you out on what I see as irrational as long as I abide by the rules of the forum. If you don't like seeing responses to the stuff then don't post it.

If the Heat go on to win this, I might have to do the unthinkable and root for lebronze by default because I'll be rooting for my former neighbor Dwyane Wade.
