I'm with TJD regarding what our needs might be come trade time. We need a solid defenseman much more than a winger. Mind you both would be great.

Honestly the Hawks do need a better depth body on the blueline other than O'Donell or Lepisto. Not sure why there is Montador hate though. He has actually exceded my expectations already. He really hasn't been bad. Don't need another top 4 blueliner. Need a number 5 or 6. That shouldn't be a difficult nor expensive find. We NEED a top 4 LWer. That's a little more tricky and we NEED a depth center so when we lose one Kane doesn't have to play center. I understand the need for blueline help and don't disagree but I really think the lack of LW depth may haunt us as the season goes on.
Hawks need better and more consistent goalkeeping from Crawford. Lets be honest about that one. I am a big Crawford fan but he has left a lot to desire so far this season and has made the defense look worse than it actually has been on many game nights.

We talked about it last night. I agree Bolland could at least get a shot at the #2 center spot. At least maybe we could all get a general idea if he could do it or not instead of just guessing. Hasn't really been given the proper shot to prove himself there. Love Bolland as a 3rd line center and i do think he suits it but why hasn't he at least been tried at #2 more? Q just won't budge on that one. If Q wants a RWer at center Q gets a RWer at center. Yes Kane can play center but he is better off on the RW in my humble opinion. In Q's humble opinion Bolland is better off as a 3rd line center even though that line has left a lot to be desired all season. And I don't think that has been Bollands fault. We have seen Bolland and Hossa play together before..it has worked it just never stuck.
