For the complete buffoonery Q showed in game 3, he more than made up for it in game 7.

Credit where credit is due, folks.

Game three was a result of his players not playing anywhere near their talent levels. I think there were some guys playing hurt too.

I believe that's when Q put in VerTurnover & Officer Nordberg in for Antoinne Merriwther and T²...as well as moving Shaw back to center--something Q should have never done.

Game 5 was when no one played to their talent levels...

This.

And let's not pretend that Quenneville, a former NHL defenseman himself, hasn't been a HUGE factor in the development of guys like Keith, Seabrook, Hjalmarsson, Oduya, etc.

Buffoonery? or balls? He has big balls IMO. Takes big balls to take big risks.
You may not like it or agree with it, but that's why you're not behind the bench and leading this team to the Stanley cup 3 times in 6 years.
He gets the job done. He knows what needs to be done to motivate this team and he did it.
You think Hawks are in this position if they are coached by Capuano? Get the hell out of here haters.

Right on queue. You're such a fucking dumb ass Q apologist, you will defend any decision he makes. He could scratch Keith and Toews and you would find some way to justify it. I never sucked Morin's dick. I just said he was a better option than Versteeg and Bolling in the playoffs. And he was. His obsession with Handzus was inexcusible as well. Same story there. Not a fan of Pirri at all but he was a better option than Handzus. The 0-5 PP is all on the players, right? Has nothing to do with setup or personnel... Certainly not Q's fault...

Cumiskey is an NHL defenseman, so the Hawks have 5. It doesn't matter anyway. Q had 6 NHL defensemen last season and still hardly played them. It's just how he does things come playoff time.

There is no better coach available. Still doesn't mean he is above reproach or criticism. Just like the players.

We get it. Q is amazing. When the Hawks win it is because of his great coaching. When they lose it is all on the players. Except it doesn't work that way. He can lose games with his decisions just like the players can. Like he did in game 3. Some games coaching wins or loses the game. Others, the players win or lose the games.

What is Q doing that is so amazing? He got the best of Boudreau in game 7. Of that there is no doubt. But shouldn't we expect that? Boudreau fucking sucks.

I'm right on queue. Ok. Go check out any site you post on for the past 7 years, and see what ever you write about Q. Your lips go from Morin to Pirri to Cuminsky to whoevers **** belongs to the next shitbag player you think deserves a chance while proving nothing until the next one fails.

I defend a guy that has a pulse of his team. And nope...not all his decisions work. But the majority of them have and there's usually a pretty good reason he makes them. And deserves the benefit of the doubt. Chances are, if he sat Toews and Keith - there would be a reason for it...much like the reason he sits others. Doesn't mean anyone has to understand or like it. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. The guy trusts veterans that have either won in the league or won for him - more than he trusts a player that thinks they're entitled He's played plenty of young players in his time here that prove they can play a responsible two way game. Why is that so hard to accept?

So what changed on the PP in game 7 than game 3? Same units were together that scored in game 2 as well. Nothing changed - they just produced.

What's he doing that's amazing? Lets see....hmmmm..winning? Style of play is exciting. Team plays hard for him and loves playing for him. Defence is best in the league at moving the puck. Team has been competitive since he came here.

What's to hate? He doesn't dress Morin or Pirri. Didn't put Cuminsky (who had played 7 NHL games in 3yrs) in the lineup immediately? (who was a turn over machine at times as well....but it's excused because YOU want him in) Doesn't win series in a fast enough fashion?

The fact that you can't come up with anyone else you think is better, what is the continuous whining like a ***** about him for 7 years going to improve?

While I agree Q is a great coach, owning Boudreu isn't really an accomplishment. It would be like a bully going around school claiming he owns the skinny nerdy kid.

I'm beginning to think Pez is an idiot. Can anyone confirm this?

We're all grateful he pulled his head out of his ass, stopped scratching Vermette and TT, matched Toews vs. Getzlaf instead of Kesler, and put Kane and Toews together. Like most people were asking for....the entire series.

"He owned Boudreau" isn't exactly high praise, either. Only TWO teams in the history of the NHL have lost game 7, at home, three seasons in a row. Both were coached by Boudreau. He's probably getting fired again before next season, to boot....

I always love these posts praising Q for, once again, doing what everyone was asking him to do all along.

Let's see if he can continue to use common sense in the TB series before sucking his dick, shall we?

Quenneville has won 2 Stanley Cups yet you still managed to make it about Boudreau. Congratulations, assclown!

I thought it was Bickell

Bickell coaches the UC glass builders.

Keith takes everyones minutes including the oppositions thus he is the real coach.

Honestly i like Q but he does have it easy sometimes. When you have guys like Keith and Seabs who demand ice time and perform with it that takes a lot of pressure off a coach. Doesnt hurt to have kane and toews with the same attitudes. But its silly not to think Q has had a hand in all four of those players developments esp keith and seabs. Along with the development of other players he does do well at getting his players to accept the roles given. He takes too long to make the obvious moves sometimes but he also has made moves in the past nobody thought would work but have.

Cant just base Q on the Toews and Kane game all the time. Q is a great 3rd and 4th line coach and to me at least thats meaningful and important. Guys like Toews and Kane at this point dont need to be coached its the guys bellow them that do and I think Q does a good job. Im not going to put him in the great category but hes a tier bellow.

I think he's very knowledgeable about what he sees as the future of Hockey - very little hitting, no fights, puck-possession style of play with no violence, very little contact, and interesting stuff like that.

I don't understand his meatballish hatred for a coach that has 2 cup rings in 5 years, soon to be 3 cup rings in 6. Seems strange winningness isn't as important as having perfect line combos at all times.
