He might be hired tomorrow night.

Probably not. He's just the first coach they like who can already interview in person.

Its very unlikely they will lose him to the saints, and I havent heard any other teams intersted in McCarthy.

Here is a scenario that is very possible:

Bears like Ben Johnson the most
Bears like Mike McCarthy 2nd most
Bears don't really like anyone else that much

BJ tells Bears he is interested but is non committal until after the playoffs are over.
McCarthy tells the Bears he is very interested and willing to be the coach. However, if not given an offer, he is going to interview with the Saints to see how that goes.

What do you do? Lose McCarthy now and gamble that BJ says yes and risk not getting either? Or penciling in McCarthy now?

Decisions Decisions...
If they’re all in on a Johnson, you wait. If you lose out on him, go all in for Monken. The fansbase would riot if Johnson told them he was interested but the Bears didn’t want to wait until the Lions were eliminated to interview him.

My guess is Eddie Merlots. Lotta bears players go there, its where mitch took his wifey on their first date.

That place has some good prices! Then again I live in Disney world everything is over priced.

It’s kind of strange that over the last few hours Johnson to the Bears odds have doubled. Admittedly I don’t gamble but Vegas is getting some big money on this for some reason.

Dallas has some world class food game not gonna lie, when i lived there they actually had a couple places that were trying to do Chicago deep dish and had a Chicago decor, there was also a lady who ran a small little business that looked like an old Fotomat or something that did Italian beefs that were out of this world.

The bbq is mostly all kick ass, the mexican is kick ass the pizza game is mid imo
Travel for work there it’s OK. NY then Chicago for food imo.

If they staged it to advertise for the show, they are next level marketers for the pod... just like the Justin Fields-Bears unfollow last year. (not being serious... or am I?)

Caleb did it to force Poles/Warrens hand and make his choice for HC public

I had the opposite experience — hated the food in Dallas. The chicken wings were those huge dino wings/super nasty. The pizza tasted like cardboard and I am a thin crust guy. And the expensive dinner spots were just average. Chicago always gets ranked high in nationwide food rankings — even #1 quite a few times. McCarthy will definitely enjoy the food scene here.

No knock on Dallas. To each their own. But there was literally nothing that I particularly enjoyed about the food scene while I was there - very forgettable. And as far as bbq/plenty of great rib joints here in Chicago.

I dont think anyone out there tweeting really does. The point I was making still stands for me though.
I actually intended to quote @BaBaBlacksheep post that quoted Zimmerman as his sources seemed to have changed their opinions since last week. Not sure how I ended up quoting your post instead.
