Ok, but there's more than just that one pointless interview. Bears are interviewing 17 candidates and people are acting as EG is somehow the next HC.

I’ve already said 80% of the requested interviews were pointless.

Who said they did. George could have leaked it to Glazer at that point to get as much media coverage of it as possible. Glazer could be doing George a solid by leaking it right after the game with millions watching.

So you are assuming the Bears chose the timing of the announcement. We dont know how Glazer got his info and there are plenty of times when things leak that the team doesnt want known at that time.

If he's ending with the Bears that's a good sign.

From what I've been reading, He absolutely will not be one of those who will agree not to leave the building and be convinced that way.

He wants to give everyone a fair shot and then he'll sit down and make his decision by Friday.

We will see if that holds up.

Every team does not, in fact, announce a Rooney Rule interview minutes after a top candidate becomes available. The Raiders became compliant Friday before the divisional playoff round, the Jags have done only virtual interviews and haven't panicked to do token in person interviews moments after BJ became available.

Your statement was for them to just let the HC make the call and the point is the Bears have interviewed people before in advance of the main decision maker and also interviewed people before for one job and then hired them for another.

The Bears have interviewed potentialHC’s to be HC and OCs to be OCs or lesser positional coaches. Who have they interviewed for a HC for that person to take a lesser role for the team?
