I'm not the biggest Tomlin fan. He's ok. But he's not amazing.
Yeah what's to like 183-107 with a SB win and playoffs in 12 of 18 seasons.

I must need to watch what the NFL insiders are saying more closely, so I can learn who the really good coaches are. I hear that Andy Reid guy is worth a look.

Always like "what"?

What is embarrassing?

What's embarrassing is a bunch of people who wouldn't know the first thing about hiring someone to an important, high-profile position telling others how they should go about it.
Football isn't rocket science. All these guys' resumes are readily available. There are clearly different tiers of candidates that anybody who's paying attention can identify.

There are names who are pretty universally agreed to be top candidates, guys who are second tier and then guys that literally nobody is talking about. We're dipping in to WTF candidates.

And let's not pretend that we as fans don't recognize good candidates and shit candidates. Does it take some kind of expertise to know that Trestman and Eberflus were worse candidates than Bruce Arians or Dan Quinn?

Miss me with your high and mighty bullshit.

Surprised no Kingsbury. I have generally been against him as an NFL coach but he was great this year with Daniels.

Has anyone announced him yet? He may just not have officially accepted. Would be surprised if he’s not interviewed

So essentially you are saying the Bears don’t even need to interview anyone because it’s universally agreed as to who should be hired?

Got it! Good plan!

That's true, he maybe can't because they are playing this week?
I don’t know the specifics but with a game this week I definitely think he may just want to focus on coaching. Nothing is getting decided for a few weeks anyways

I didn't include Vrabel because I don't think he's a realistic candidate. I think NE fired Mayo knowing that has Vrabel in their pocket.

Yes, I'm saying don't interview anybody. That's exactly what I said.
