I like their rooftop bar tbh.

Fun but possibly annoying story about said bar. My friend and I went to a show at Reggie’s but only wanted to see the opener (can’t remember who they were; I am old). We decamped to the rooftop bar after their set and met some homely girls visiting from Phoenix.

My friend and I have always been told that we look alike, and these girls from Phoenix remarked upon such.

So we told told them that we were twin cousins and exploring a relationship. They were taken aback. Isn’t that incredible?

Saw Les Claypool (no, not the fucktarded Claypool version, the one from Primus) play his set with Sean Lennon on lead guitar, they covered Pink Floyd's Animals tonight, was really fuckin good.

Also, what a bunch of weirdos at the show in Oakland tonight, dressed like frogs and shit (name of the band is Flying Frog Brigade).

Next up: Maneskin on Friday in Oakland again (ewwww), and then U2 in the Vegas Sphere on Saturday.

I've been a subscriber to the CSO for...twenty years or so (depending on when I was living here)? This year I'm seeing The Firebird, Glass and Mendelssohn, Mahler's 1st, Holst's Planets, and Rachmaninov's 3rd.

The Forge in Joliet has a bunch of old school black metal shows on occasion, so I tend to hit those up. NIU has an amazing music program, so I wander out there every once in a while as well.
Anything in the holiday season coming up that you're looking forward to? I think I might get tickets to the cso for my girlfriend for her birthday/Christmas.

I haven't been to Reggie's in probably a decade. Miss the the Thirsty Whale. That place was tits when I was a kid.

Haven’t thought about that place in years. Went a few times before it closed

The Planets is definitely one I have to see.

Shows I’m trying to get to this year:

Bruckner 8th
Mahler 5th and 6th.
