settle down there. toews>kane first off.
Again you are taking this as I want him gone now, which isnt true.
but negatives:
forget the immature social life
if you go to alot of games like myself and hawkwriter (dunno what he sees) but i watch more of the play away from the puck more than i do the actual action (except while in front of the net) kane causes ALOT of the issues in transition that you dont see on tv, in other words he dogs it ALOT. is he skilled? yes. is he undersized and is the book out on him? yeah, i would imagine since he is isolated no matter what line he is on now. his two way play would need to improve for me to say that i would never trade him.
Offensively speaking, no Kane has more skills than Toews. But Toews is the better all-around player.
The book's out on Kane, huh? He's on pace for 65 points. If that's the book, I'm reading it all day.
As for the Kane "dogging it" argument, I'm not gonna tell you he's always giving his effort 140% of the time because that'd just be a lie. But I'm yet to see moments where Kane's lackadaisical backcheck resulting in chances/goals showed to be a serious issue. He does take more chances on offense because
that's the type of player he is.
Ultimately, yeah, I could see scenarios where Kane is tradeable, sure. But not for at least 5 years, and probably more like 10, unless your getting a Vezina-quality goalies in return.
