I had the feeling that Ricky was going to platoon around Rizzo and Castro. Looks like Castillo is in the full time group. Rugg has a foot issue that is why Schierholtz played yesterday.

I'm not sure how I feel about a strait platoon to be honest here. It feels generic and really doesn't take the players skill set into account.

WTF! Bonafacio picked off again! He has been picked off twice in two games and should have been a third time if the first baseman didnt drop the ball. Thats fucked up. Are the Pirates stealing signs or is he dumb?

Should play moneyball rules. Pay him to get on first not be thrown out (picked off) at 2B. Valbuena walks at a 14% clip. They should have just stayed close to 1B and ground out a walk.

I've never been a fan of giving up outs. (bunt/SB/leaning too far and getting picked off)

Wasn't a fan of Castro watching strike 3 go by. Down 2 strikes need to defend the plate on anything close.....

By what I said about him batting 6th or lower in the line-up was that the talent was far superior ahead of him. He can get away with hitting where he is because the Cubs stink and by choice, have no one else to put there. When they get tougher, he will be moved down in the line-up or moved off of the team. Either way, it will be for the better.

Then first pitch swing by Castillo......how about letting him make strike 1 first unless he makes a mistake...swear undisciplined hitters.
