I don’t think any of Ewers, Cam Ward, or Sanders has a first round grade. They will obviously get drafted there due to the position they play.
I think the latter two will be picked in the top 10. I don't think Ewers will be close to that though. He's really a mess technically and not a very good athlete.

I think this is probably who I would’ve picked. Ideally, I’d trade down a few spots from 10 and pick Conerly.

10: Josh Conerly Jr.
39: Walter Nolen
41: Landon Jackson
72: Jared Wilson
No way Nolen lasts until 39. He’s an easy top-15 talent. As a 3-T, he may have a higher ceiling than Graham, imo. Crazy athlete and elite at every aspect the position requires.

Totally agree. I just do t think any of them have first round talent, and all 3 have a ceiling as a career backup at best.

Brugler has him going at 43 in this mock but I doubt Bears pass on him for Landon Jackson if they keep a 4-3 (not certain but likely I guess) and anyway I doubt Nolen even makes it to 30 let alone into the 40s. I expect He’ll put up good numbers at the combine and will be in the teens on most big boards by April.

It's really his best option. Maybe his only option. Playing another year at Texas or transferring does nothing for him, so you may as well take advantage of the weaker QB class.

EDIT: By "weaker" I'm actually talking about the depth of the position. I don't shit on prospects.

Yeah, he probably doesn't actually want to give NFL front offices more college tape to critique at this point. IMO, it would likely do more harm than good.

I think he won’t make it past 15 when all is said and done, and I wouldn’t mind him being the pick at 10.

There is absolutely no way he makes it to the 2nd.

Via Dane Brugler of The Athletic:

“10. Chicago Bears: Josh Simmons, OT, Ohio State

Simmons was trending towards being OT1 in this draft class until he suffered a knee injury in mid-October, which required season-ending surgery.

His draft stock will be in limbo until the combine, when teams receive medical feedback from their doctors. But if he’s healthy, Simmons is a natural left tackle with a high ceiling.

39. Chicago (from CAR): Wyatt Milum, G/C, West Virginia

41. Chicago Bears: Landon Jackson, Edge, Arkansas”

He has Donovan Jackson going at 28 to Baltimore.

@ILoveDick

What do you think about Dane’s selections?

Where’d he have Mike Green going?

I think that Green is going to climb his way into the top 15 by April once the draft pundits starting getting more info from team scouts.
You’re the third guy that mentioned him in this thread. I didn’t see a single Marshall game last season.

I took the time last night to watch a highlight reel. His burst off the edge is pretty damn impressive.

Obviously, but not all of us follow college ball. Can you honestly tell me you know who half of these guys are? All I was asking was if you're posting up guys you like (so you obviously know who they are) I'd appreciate it (I'm sure we all would) if you'd add their position. Very minor request. Thanks.

I follow the NFL draft pretty closely, so yes, I have a decent idea of who they are. I can say that I did not know about Wyatt Milum prior to reading mock drafts, but a very quick Google search of his name led me to a ton of information about him.

Just sign Trey Smith. Overpay him.

(y)Poles fixing the OL:

2 FA signings, both 4 year deals totaling about 46% (around $17MM avg/yr for each) of the available 2025 cap space:
C Ryan Kelly, Colts
G Trey Smith, Chiefs

Trade Roschon Johnson, 2-41, and the 3rd Rd comp pick (around 3-100ish) for IAN to Dallas for their 1-12

1-10: Edge - Abdul Carter if he falls, Nic Scourton
1-12: OT - Kelvin Banks or Josh Simmons (pending medical confirmation of repair)
2-39: DI- Kenneth Grant if he falls, Walter Nolan, Edge Ed Overton
(2-41 if no Dallas trade): 2nd of any leftover 39 picks
3-72: OL - Charles Grant, Marcus Mbow (could he also be a developmental C after Kelly contract?), Tate Ratledge or DL - Deone Walker
(3-100ish if IANgone and no Dallas trade): any of 3-72 if they fall, OT - Blake Miller or HB - Kalel Mullings, Damien Martinez

finish draft with BPA/targeted support role athletes or use remaining picks for trade up/down movements for the above target guys or any surprise falling talent

This should tie a bow on Poles rebuild and instantly fix our perpetual collapsing line problem allowing a proper evaluation of our "Franchise?" QB.
