I asked Mule this but I thought I would ask you too. I have a friend who has been feeling down lately. She hasn't been herself lately her mind has been wandering when we talk. I can just tell she doesn't feel much like talking. She always brings sunshine into my life even on her worst days. But the past couple days she seems really down. What can I do to cheer her up?

How do you feel about a vancouverite dispensing advice on these boards? I mean the only real advice to be given is to play dirty, throw trash on home ice, and whine when losing. How do you feel this will be productive?

If I might steal from new counterparts advice (from a different question)... drawing a smiley face of excrement above her bed may help - the key will be eating foods that will give you the right consistency and olfactory offense.



For a more serious answer, in my limited experience - sometimes folks just need to be sad for a little while. If you've put yourself out there as a support and sympathetic ear, that may be all you can do. Contine you to remain upbeat and supportive, with some time they will more-than-likely come around.



In the event that the situation appears to be more prolonged, recommend copulation and or oral gratification. I find these do quite a number on raising an individuals spirits.

As long as the Vancouverite's allegiance lies with our noble hockey squadron, I see no reason her opinion and talents for giving it should be any less valid than those viewpoints from a bald, chubby 30-something.



Besides The Mule's readily available access to poutine and Tim Horton's could make for advice coming from a far happier and contented place. And that can really only be a plus to the members of this board.

Why the hell is salami so expensive? I mean no disrespect to the Mule you just seem like you'd know more about salami. I haven't had salami in forever and have been having a major craving for it lately so when I was in the grocery store I went to the deli to get some. $7 a pound seemed a little extreme, but I got some, actually I got 2 different kinds because I wasn't sure which kind would work best. I want to see if I still possess the talent of biting my salami into the bat signal. I used to entertain my grade school friends dong that at lunch. I just want to see if I've still got it. No plans to enter it in America's Got Talent, but maybe if we ever have an IHN's Got Talent I could give it a shot.
