Why salami specifically is so expensive, I couldn't possibly fathom it. However, everything these days is getting expensive due to rising costs of transporation/oil. I would recommend sticking to the pre-packaged deli meats if you're trying to watch your budget. With a seasoned, cured deli meat, you'll find very little difference (save for maybe sodium content and even then, perhaps not much) in taste.



I'm sure if you wanted to post pics, here at IHN, we'd all love to see your salami eating skills or the results thereof.

I call BS on that. Especially with meats like prosciutto. Huge, huge difference in taste and quality. With that said, I'm pretty content with the cheap salami.

After some thought... I'd probably be Honey Nut Cheerios. Tasty enough to be noticed but boring enough to be forgotten about easily.



Somedays I worry I'm becoming dangerously milquetoast.

Perhaps Mass' question was too facile---maybe he should have asked you was if your fellow IHNers were cereal what would you say they were.

The more I think about this, the more I realize just what a Herculean task it would be - here's one:



Jako - Cracklin' Oat Bran -- mostly because I know he loves the stuff but also because folks think they're eating something healthy but in fact, are eating a bowl of fattening oatmeal cookies.
