I was going to try and make some of that... basically doing the same thing I do to make peppermint schnapps but using lemon extract instead.

Do it! My friend has been home brewing his own potent Limoncello for the past couple of years---he's really gotten it down now and we really love it. Reminds us all of good times in Italy.

Mule - would I be able to get some sort of special correspondent status in this thread? It would really ease my mind about continually inserting myself into your show.

SAMESIES! Everyone is doing bright orange this summer... I like that you are not.

I have some suggestions based on your GRAY love... I'm sure you know them.

OPI - you don't know jacques

essie - glamour purse

Also - I haven't tried essie's sew psyched yet, but I'm curious. OPI's french quarter for your thoughts looks nice too.

Oooh! I shall have to check your suggestions out. Never too late---I was too lazy this afternoon and never got around to actually polishing and since we have coolish weather again it looks like I have some time still. I don't really "know" polishes as I don't polish my nails---I do know of these brands that you guys mention and that people seem to love though like OPI and Chanel and essie from trawling online. I only keep a few bottles myself since it's just my toes and I don't do pedicures.

ETA: Looks like this shall have to be a de facto "Chick Things" thread too.

I'm all for special beauty correspondents. Samesies, you are in! And I like your suggestions. And essie sew psyched is lovely. Grayish green. Super pretty.

I had orange toes last summer and enjoyed them, but right now I'm undecided myself. I have some OPI Kiss Me on My Tulips and it's very pink, but it'll be time for a change soon.

I had my brows waxed today, because my usual woman who does threading is getting married this week and she's got a lot of shit to do because she's Indian and those weddings require days worth of stamina. I still prefer threading, but the wax was solid, although brows are a bit thinner than I like. She's not used to my full brows, this gal.

You've got those thick, lustrous Mediterranean brows that I wish I had! Mine are anemic so my waxer has to literally spin gold out of nothing. I get a sort of "casual structured" brow if that makes any sense. My mother used to like threading though when I was growing up even though her brows were anemic too (this shit is her fault tbqh!). I prefer the pain threshold quickness of waxing BUT the secret is to get an excellent waxer who knows their shit and hits you up with the ladyscaping Holy Trinity of waxing, plucking, and scissor cutting---they are the ones who take their shit seriously and are artistes!

Also? Does this mean we're all Special Correspondents? I myself could not report on makeup, hair, dresses, handbags, or nail polish. But I could report the **** outta shoes (Natch!), perfume, body products, leather skirts, and because I grew up around the industry, mens apparel.

We could be a formidable triumverate of style opinions. That or petty, treacherous dictators of taste!

Well if this is the way it goes... I nominate Mass and Jako as the style correspondents in the "Ymono" thread.

And before you say anything, "that shirt looks ***" is totally an appropriate critique.

WTH. Don't be getting all attitudinal mister. This thread might likely only turn to Chick "Things" every once in a while. Meanwhile this ENTIRE fucking forum is technically thread after thread of Dude Things. Give your mega-faux righteous indignation a rest. Also? Come on board, stay in here and play with us, and be a Special Style Correspondent here! You could be the expert on ladies *dramatic* clothing----like critiquing and offering opinions on chick Halloween costumes, Con costumes, Rockabilly, Steampunk. Style and lifestyle doesn't have to be a cliche battle of the sexes,

I find it amusing that you even recognize it as "faux" (mega, even) and still have to call me out on it.

I could totally critique garb for cons, Ren Faire and the like... although for ladies it probably just comes down to, "is there a lot of cleavage? No? Find one with it."

Dude things are the only things that matter. They are useful. Unlike chick things, like shoes. See we have shoes but the bare minimum to cover all necessary functions and not a pair more. See shoes all do the same thing, so the blue pair is no different from the red pair. Whereas guy things have important differences.

Since you didn't list any "guy things" or "dude things" I invite others to make a list of guy things, many of which I'm sure will be proven NOT useful.

{{yawns}} BORING.

Remind me not to let you be my style guru.

Yes, I am SURE guy things have differences because you know,HOW IN THE WORLD could could "Battlefield 3" be anything like "Battlefied 2". Your arguments are invalid. Haven't you learned that by now? Shut up.

Does peeing on the seat and not cleaning it up count?

Okay I can keep up this charade no more.

I look at a woman's shoes. Take for example my former boss, she was hot, but I hated all her shoes. They were flats and always had something gaudy about them. I like a simple heel. Also I admit to playing The Sims so I have to make the women look good...

I know I have lost my man card but oh well.

My foreboding temptress,

What is the one question you fear asked, and how would you answer it.

Forever in your wonderment,

Tragically Hip

P.S. No cop-outs, we're watching you.
