Just because they played with the Bulls longer? They arent close to Rodman. If you gave me a choice of 100 all time nba players to pick, Rodman would be on that list. It doesnt matter to me, how long he was a bull. The most important factor is/was, his basketball IQ and effort, was off the charts.

That's the thing, he wasn't off the charts as a Bull...he lost focus at times and didn't play to his highest level when he was in Chicago, especially in the last year. His defense wasn't good and his concentration was weak out there.

The retire Norm Van Liers number campaigns begins NOW!!!!!!
When the Bulls wwere unwatchable from 99-2002, the only reason I watched them was to see and here Norms critical opinion...He actually sincerly would be angry and he wasn't scared to say how he felt....in fact he had left for a while and then came back......

You don't retire his number because of game analysis....you retire his number because of his play on the court...

Agreed. But it is REALLY hard to 3 peat. How many players concentration was stellar, in a 3 peat attempt? Just ask the Lakers.

Fair enough. To me, its how important you were to the franchise. Dennis rodman is top 3. Enough for me.

#3 in franchise history? I don't know about that...popular maybe, but important? I doubt it. There were others who have contributed to Bulls success over the years who have done more than Rodman. Rodman came here to back up Jordan and Pippen.

He would win 2 DPOY in Detroit, his 2 allstar appearance were in Detroit...that is where his number should be retired...he would never accomplish those things again and was at his best as a Piston. Plain and simple to me.

Eh maybe you are right. I am arguing his greatness. Not whether his number should be retired, as a bull. I still think it SHOULD, but who cares what i think? lol

Jordan's concentration wasn't a problem. Year end and year out. And the Lakers didn't 3peat because Magic got hurt in the finals...had nothing to do with concentration.

I guess being the best rebounder in Bulls history means nothing to some.....Not to mention the things he did to help win games that didn't show up in stats...DENNIS RODMAN IN MY BOOK SHOULD HAVE HIS NUMBER RETIRED AT THE UC.....NONE OF YOU CAN CHANGE MY MIND...IIM JUST THAT DAM STUBBORN...

Jordan retired, partially because of his mental and physical fatigue. Almost nobody 3 peats...........for a reason.

Yes, Jordan retired because of mental and physical fatigue...but on the court his purpose never wavered. That is my point. Can't say that about Rodman at all.

Why? Are you trying to track me down or something?
You know what? I always thought that Ron Artest (World Metta Peace) looked up to Dennis Rodman because if you put of them on paper their just exactly alike. I don't even have to get into details.

I do appreciate Dennis Rodman, I say he was a key factor and a huge help (of course) helping the Chicago Bulls get the rings. I have the courage to say Dennis Rodman is one of the greatest defensive players. Period.

although usually i disagree with someone being on the team for 3 years getting their jersey retired, i think rodman is an exception because he made such a profound impact rebounding and defense wise and was really an anchor for helping the bulls win 3 more titles...
