Junior Lake drew a walk in the first inning. :beerbang:

Junior Lake hit a sac fly to drive in the Smokies first run in his next at bat.

And to make up for that he just threw the ball wide on a grounder to him at SS. That is his 12th error on the season. Need to find a spot for him to play. Rebel Ridling let a ball drop on the warning track to allow the Braves to tie the game at 1.

The Smokies defense sucks apart from Ha. Rhee is getting no help from his defense. Bases loaded now in the third inning with no outs. Rhee walked the pitcher to lead off the inning, his own fault, but that was followed up by a bunt single on the line that Bour didn't let roll. And now a base hit to Cerda at 3B who ran towards 3B and decided he couldn't beat the runner and then tried to throw across the diamond but late to first. So basically Rhee has bases loaded no outs with the ball not leaving the infield.

Braves cracked it open to 6-1 thanks to the bad defense. Rhee is probably going to be done early tonight.

well I switched over to the iowa game. viders is having a junior lake type night here. he has a walk and an error.

Jackson and Vitters doubled as the I-Cubs are up 3-1. Volstad is on the mound for the I-Cubs, and just in case you care the LF for the Sounds is...

Vitters struck out with runners on 1st and 2nd to end the fifth inning. Volstad is dealing with 5 innings of no earned run ball with 5 strike outs and no walks.

Volstad gave up the lead but pitched well for 6 plus innings. Only Sappelt and Vitters have multiple hits so far. Vitters second hit was an infield hit. It was a slow roller to the SS that he beat out.

Non-prospect Ty Wright just hit a two run bomb to give the I-Cubs the lead in the bottom of the eighth. Scott Maine is up for the ninth since he is the I-Cub closer.

Maine nailed down the save. Gave up a walk, but got the three outs without giving up a run.
