Read my post ya jackass.

nah, you won't be around here much longer remember? haha

Let's just all band together and pray and cross our fingers Olesz is Top 10 in the Draft salvageable in a way the Hawks didn't think Skille was, LOL! I maintain that a new team with a vastly different game might help and just hope that FLA didn't totally derail his development by making him begin to play so soon after he was drafted. Eh, at worst he goes down to Rockford right?

Sighs. I am going to miss The Ginger.
<

Just have to keep my spirits up and more importantly keep my eye on the proverbial prize here, whatever the prize winds up being because whatever happens with Olesz and/or Reinprecht this is most certainly about cap space for SOMETHING. It's going to be tense between now and July 1st waiting on Stan's moves.

Man, I am stunned. Never thought they would be able to move Campbell's contract. I tip my hat to Stan. Job well done tonight on the Campbell and Brouwer trades. Also like the picks. Now get Sharp re-signed to a long term deal.

Reinprecht?

What am I missing here? What didn't I read or what is going on there?

I am going to miss the Ginger too. the man made me laugh my ass off after the cup win with Cabbie in the dressing room interviewing the team.

Long video but there are some golden moments with Campbell in it drunk as hell.

That's what I originally saw mentioned on the NHL's official Entry Draft live blog earlier. Olesz and Reinprecht. Maybe it's changed?

Have no idea. Were the trade details officially released by the NHL? All I heard from Bettman at the mic was..."yapp yapp yapp Chicago trades Campbell yap yap yap drool sniff yap yap to Florida for Olesz drool grunt grunt whine yap yap yap why don't people like me"?

By the way can someone name the last NHL team to win the cup without a Ginger in their lineup?

I can't think off the top of my head.

It seems like a little ginger is needed in the recipe for success.

Eh, I don't know. Maybe the NHL blogger's intel was wrong about Reinprecht.

I am all sadness about The Ginger. Saying goodbye to his +51 with the Hawks is HARD man! So not fair. I never bitched about "The Contract"----not the 1st year because even though it was bumpy, he butted heads with Q, I understood that for a team that had been cellar dwelling and had determined they wanted a rebuild comeback you HAD to have a flashy UFA agree to get on board and help show the hockey world you were serious about the rebuild and that almost always involves overpayment. And of course he finally hashed it out with Q what was expected of him in Q's system, what the vision was that first offseason, totally bought in, worked hard and it showed and paid dividends the 2nd year of the contract---no Ginger, no Cup. Same can be said of the 3rd year---the stability he brought and the sweet game when he wasn't hobbled by injuries. It's a HUGE loss as far as I am concerned but Stan must have some plan he wants to see through with the cap space and I guess The Ginger was cool with wanting to go play for Tallon and trusts whatever Dale's plan is for the Panthers. Gah! His skating abilities with the puck. . .so gonna be missed.

The deal is on the Hawks web site. No mention of Reinprecht.

Well we need to alleviate some cap room and I think Stan did a good job without hamstringing us for next season. I hope he continues to do a good job.

**** hockey for a minute! What about the "Campbell for Kids" poker tournament? They trade Campbell, the organizer and Troy Brouwer, the team's best poker player. I'm going to miss Campbell and Troy.

Yea thats exactly what I posted on FB. That was the best event put on by ANY of the Hawks. It's going to suck no Tourney this year. Big time suck!

I'm going to miss both of them. But the NHL is a business.

Dare I dream....Richards?

I don't think that is unrealistic at this point in Richards career. I am sure he wants to taste that cup again. Not my first center pick but one could certainly do worse. I def wouldn't want to see a long term..maybe a 2 year? And def don't want to the team shelling out huge money to nab him and I would hope he would discount to come here. Maybe a 3 mill per contract? Too low for Richards? Too high for the club? I don't know the other variables.

We will hear some Richards rumors for sure as we go into the UFA deadline.

BOOKS!!! Great post about Campbell. And I agree 100% with it. Now you know how I felt about my boy Ladd. lol.

Agree with the majority that both he and Troy will be missed off the ice and on it. Like RK said it's business so we can't avoid it. What we can and will do is cheer these guys when we do see them again even in other sweaters. Cause they deserve it and we are classy enough to give it to them. Those ******* are Stanley cup champions!! BLACKHAWKS STYLE!!!!

You can! That's what cap space does so wonderfully---allows fans to DREAM BIG!

For myself, I still want Laich---younger and cheaper. Or Pavelski---which I guess since SJ dealt away Seto on Fri. is now highly unlikely they'll want to lose another Forward from that 2nd line. Actually, I wouldn't mind trying to poach Stoll away from LA either but that'll never happen either---even with their moves LA still has $10 mil in cap space left.

I's skeeered Grammar Hobo. I ain't gonna lie---we have seen how discombobulated and generally clusterfuckery this team has looked the past two seasons when The Ginger was out. {{shivers}} I am sad but calm---got no choice but to just wait and see between now and July 1st what the plan is D-wise I guess.

Stan can now trade the new guy for Buff and Ladd.

RK knows how to talk dirty to me. KEEP IT UP!!!

Who needs internet porn when one can fantasize about Andrew Ladd returning? Droooooool.

It's funny the Jets fans I know (thank god they are back) are crying bloody murder when I mention Ladd leaving that club. Poor suckers aren't going to get to watch him in Winnipeg. They are lucky he is RFA though otherwise they would have zero chance at this point. Better make that contract offer sweeeeeeet. Can't see him wanting to play on that roster and in that city...even though the 1st season of their return will be something else to watch. Will be a good load of energy there.
