Like I said, that's part of the peril. There's usually only two or three elite guys regardless of position who hit the market every year, the rest is just a gamble.

Great players without warts rarely hit FA. They are either headcases, are aging, or have injury histories.

Thats why I have no idea wtf the bears are doing with allen robinson. Great teammate, 27 years old, and has had a clean bill of health for 3 years now.

Diggs put up similar numbers to Robinson the last couple years on a run first offense with another 1a threat at wr and bad qb play.

Robinsons numbers aren't getting better in a good offense. Ball will be spread around more and he won't have trubisky throwing to him regardless of coverage

Huh? Robinsons season this year is better than anything Diggs put up prior to this year. He did it with arguably the two worst QB's in the nfl.

As bad as cousins is, he's no where near as bad as mitch/foles. Diggs also had another legit WR across from him, Robinson had miller for two years.

Robinson is legit. I hope he goes to a team with a good QB so we can finally see him be seen as a top WR in this league.

Right now it looks like the only two guys who really fit this bill who might hit the open market are Taylor Moton and Allen Robinson II. If Brandon Scherff inexplicably leaves Washington he would be count as well.

Bears have 4 draft picks this year and minimal cap space and somehow need to find a QB, WR, OT, DE, ILB. Man are they fucked.

4 picks? That can’t be right, tell me you’re wrong?

Having a legit wr across from him in a predominantly run oriented offense just takes targets from Diggs. Cousins also missed Diggs fairly regularly which was part of Diggs being frustrated.

They have seven picks. No fourth but two sixths. They will get a compensatory selection at the end of the third round if Robinson II walks, also.

Thanks. The arob comp pick would be next year I’m almost certain.

Arob is elite. Quinn is not. Thats the difference I guess.

arob is elite? we agree to disagree then

saying he's elite means he's on par with guys like hopkins, jones, allen, hill, adams, thomas... I would take any of those guys over arob in a heartbeat.

Robinson comp (and Trubisky if that happens) would be in 2022. They will have three or four sixth rounders this year, at least two comps.

Evidently they could get a third round comp in 2021 if Champ Kelly is hired to a GM position.

Accuracy is accuracy? nope; pressure, having to reset your feet, throwing on the run, etc can drastically affect your accuracy.

Stop bringing up Joe Burrow; he had the greatest passing season in CFB history. He has much more physical tools, and he was elite throwing on the run. He checked all the boxes.

with Mac Jones and Kyle Trask is very simple they are both physically limited. So what I look for is footwork under pressure, pocket presence, vision and accuracy. With Jones there is not enough to determine any of that. I am not convinced by Trask either, but at least I see some tape.
Then you and I watched different tape. Footwork under pressure, pocket presence, vision and accuracy are all things Jones excels at. So says the tape and practically every scouting report I’ve read on him. He does all of those things better than say, Trey Lance, and sure as hell does all of those things better than Trask.

I’d rather the Bears pay Moton than ARob.

Gator booster and disgruntled Bears fan here. Kyle Pitts is going to be a ROY type talent in the right offense. He is matchup proof and beats double coverage, that being said, he will be gone long before 20. I like the story of Trask more than I like the idea of Trask as the Bears QB. He holds the ball too long, is a statue, but does have a rifle for an arm. He gets confused a bit by zone coverage and only was a starter for 1.5 years which should cause everyone PTSD. I'd rather have them take a swing at Kellen Mond or Jamie Newman in the second round on the QB front.

We are definitely are watching different tapes, especially if you think Jones is comparable to Burrow.

It doesn't matter anyway since I think Trask will be gone by the 20th pick.

Also won't matter with Nagy.

I never said he would be as good as Burrow (but no one even knows that yet). Jones has 2 knocks against him: he does not have the strongest arm (but stronger than Trask), and has a loaded supporting cast. I only mentioned Burrow because he did, as well, but he can still drop dimes, just like Jones can. You listed 4 traits that Jones excels at, and at a better clip than Trask and, like I said, Trey Lance.

But I agree with you on Nagy. That guy could ruin Trevor Lawrence in less than a season.

Interesting. When I watch him and read reports on him, the knock is he doesn’t have good arm strength. His best trait is accuracy.

If pace is still around I'm fairly confident we can get the 40th best player with pick #20
