I mentioned it a page or so back, but I've got some in the fridge right now.

As far as getting Goose Island, stores around here usually carry Honker's Ale, 312, and maybe one other variety. They usually have a sampler pack, too.

I'm in Western IL.

Goose Island used to be Baderbrau brewery in Elmhurst, IL. Many of their recipes remain the same. Yep, it's available in 13 states. Some people don't like the taste b/c they are used to the watered down crap from St. Louis.

I only knew that b/c I used to live in Elmhurst, drank Baderbrau on tap at Elmfest back in 91'. We were all parked in front of the televisions watching the Bulls beat the Lakers...ah good times!.

LoL. Yeah...I was 6 at that time. No brew for me.

What's funny is I can remember being pretty young (probably more like 10 or 12) and asking my grandpa for sips of his beer. He'd let me have a sip, but I would chug as much as I could before he took it back. Either he didn't care that much, or was just a bit slow because I remember doing it quite a few times.

Cherry Wheat is good, but I am a big fan of wheat beers in general. Hacker-Pschorr is perhaps my all time favorite beer. Unforunately I would prefer to be able to drink more often than I could buying that stuff.

You guys might not know this, but if you see the advantages of the Sam Adams glass, but don't have one. Use a coke glass.

I like wheaty beers. One of my all-time fave's was one I got from my cousin from Germany. Don't remember the name to save my life, but two (big) bottles were about $12. soooo good.

Seeing the advantages isn't enough. Drink a beer outta a Sam Adams (or similarly shaped) glass, and you'll get it.

I have, and that was my point. The coke glass is a similar design, and it's pretty close. It's definitely better than drinking out of a pint glass.

Anybody try SA winter lager?

:yeah:

it's awesome. I love most SA beers...except for the chocolate bark and shit like that (and even then, I still finished it...lol)...

But - Cherry Wheat especially...it's just one or two...can't hardly stomach more than that. gotta switch to cheaper alternatives.
