Funny you should mention that, I was just telling my wife the other day I wanted to go check out their brewery and try a few beers. But no, I haven't made it over there yet. I did have their Roller Dam Red on tap at Wide Open last night, which was solid. Also tried Dark Horse IPA on tap at Refresh (the old QC Zone). As far as I can remember it was pretty solid, too.

The blonde bartender there has done/currently does porn, so does her twin sister.

Went to UT for High School.

True story.

The Roller Dam Red is good enough. The Abbey Ale was tremendous. Perhaps the best beer I had all of last year.

I hated Hopslam when I tried it but then again, I'm not as big into craft beer as a lot of you guys but my bro who's a beer snob thinks it's great. That stuff was taken off the shelves pretty quick everytime it makes it's way to SoFla

It didn't even make it to the shelves in my liquor store. people who gave us their name we called the day we got it in and most people came in and bought a damn case almost 70 bucks.

Damn they won't even sell those by the case here, only the 6 pack and most were being held at the counter.

Damn, another UT porn star? I definitely have to check it out now.

I went to Blue Cat for dinner earlier and their beer was quite a letdown. Tried three kinds and none were very good.

Alpine Spring is going to def be my spring beer. It's delicious.

Brought a 6 pack to a party the other night. Everyone said it was disgusting, and a horrible beer..

They were drinking Keystone.

We don't sell it by the case. We just sold 4 of the 6 packs to someone.

I didn't expect much because I read a few reviews from Google and beer advocate. I just didn't expect them to be that bad. They all had a similar off flavor, perhaps lazy maintenance on their equipment?...

While certainly nothing special, at least granite city has decent offerings. I did have a seasonal/limited brew there that was very good from what I remember. It was a pale ale but I don't recall the name.

I might be heading over to great river in a bit with some buddies so ill report back on that.

Oops, that's Ghostface Killah. Anyways the owner of this nice little lounge and brewery had me and a few people try the rest of his bottle and immediately the nose screamed hot peppers. When you taste it, disgusting. You can taste the jalapeños, red pepper and assuming from the name, ghost pepper. While I haven't drank a lot of spicy beers, I can't imagine one with more of a kick. So if you're into that kind of stuff give it a try. To me it just tasted like something you would gargle to prevent a sore throat. Stuff was serious.

Spicy beer? No thanks. I tried a jalapeno beer at a local microbrew and didn't care for it

I like spicy foods but the beer was horrid. I don't see how anyone could enjoy something so spicy but in liquid form.
