"Some of the worst QBs managed to throw for "more" TD then INT.. it's a made up threshold that you created to convince yourself that Fields is not the problem."
-dbldrew

Name 5-6 of them. yeah cutler was bad w-l 74-79-0

"He is still young, and has plenty of time to develop. Steelers insider Mike DeFabo recently made a radio appearance"
-SteelerNation.com

"Fields has some developing to do, and learning behind Wilson could be what is best for his career at the moment."
-SteelerNation.com

It's important to note that these observations come from minicamp and organized team activities. This is when the offense is just getting installed, and players aren't in full pads. It's hard to take anything too seriously that comes out from these practices, as they aren't anywhere close to what goes on at training camp.

-SteelerNation.com
well in 2023 we have the following QBs who have thrown more TD then INT..

Zach Wilson
Kenny Pickett
Tyrod Taylor
Taylor Heinicke
Mason Rudolph
Jarrett Stidham

Pretty crappy list there for your threshold that you think makes Fields a good option.. And thats just 1 year of bad QBs that surpassed your criteria..

How dumb are you to come into a thread that you don't want to take part of? Are you ready that stupid that you need a mod to kill it to protect yourself from reading it?

Not throwing picks is the first step to reading D....then ya look at other factors i.e. surrounding talent, play calling, play design, offensive in game adjustments, pass pro just to name a few.
They got rid of the OC in Pittsburgh and brought in A. Smith.

You avoided the above quotes from SteelerNation.com. And you haven't looked at the JT time stamps I provided below

@30:33.....JT is breaking down the awful pass pro.
I'll come back to other parts of the vid.

@33:53....bad play design. Next...@34:22...ya can't have 3 wr's in the same area @35:17 more bad pass pro @37:44...anticipation / processing even as again...... the pass pro breaks down LG
@45:46 I would've whipped this side arm or put a downward trajectory on the ball into the body of the wr @47:13 "clown show" pass pro @48:52 watch the break down of the awful pass pro

So this list..

Zach Wilson
Kenny Pickett
Tyrod Taylor
Taylor Heinicke
Mason Rudolph
Jarrett StdIham

All didn't throw a lot of INT and also threw for more TD so all good candidates to build around for a Superbowl contender?

The tape doesn't lie, when you apply my criteria of actually looking at what they are doing that whole list is garbage, just like Fields.

The rest of the Steelers article is 100% speculation, and completely meaningless, what we know for a fact as he was slow to process on College, slow to process with Nagy, slow to process with Getsy and also slow to process with the Steelers.

The video with JT has nothing to do with Fields being slow to process, if the pass pro breaks down that doesn't cause Fields to be slow, if anything a continuous bad pass pro should have the opposite affect and artificially increase the clock in his head so he is going to fast.. that's not his issue, he just is slow to identify what's happening and he is late to come off a route, or late to throw it etc..

So your JT video is not an excuse for Fields being slow to process and is just an attempt to shift the blame

I know you didn't actually say Superbowl but that's kind of the point with the NFL.. win a Superbowl is what I'm looking for, a middling QB won't get that done, and that's the problem with Fields, if you improve everything around him so it's perfect, his inability to quickly process will mean he will always be just marginal.

Yes I proved the Steelers article to show his "slow to process" problem is still there without Getsy and without any OL problem. The Steelers hopping that he fixes that issue is meaningless until he actually does.

The JT video is long, but will try and get some examples when I have time of him not processing correctly

The trolls seeing us having a football debate where we do not agree but we don't break down into insults with each other seems to make them really mad for some strange reason.
For sure....I hope that TP helps him, Also he might need some pych. counseling for entering places / threads where he doesn't wanna be and his football talk-phobia

41 in the video Fields is looking at 13.. wide open.. he comes off of 13 for some strange reason and looks to Moore also wide open.. comes off him and goes back to 13 and throws it late and ended up out of bounds..

JF41.png

jf41_1.png

both immages above show fields looking at 13.. WIDE OPEN.. but unfortunately fields cant quickly process whats happening so he goes to Moore..

JF41_2.pngAnd Moore is also wide open and so is 13 but again Fields is slow to process whats happening and passes up a second easy TD and goes back to 13 and throws him out of bounds..

This is the problem with Fields.. he misses wide open guys all the time because he cant process whats happening

I watched it. In addition to your thoughts...JT pointed how Moore on the left side didn't get off the LOS in a crisp, timely manner......@41:35 and @42:08. But lets go through it all more in-depth when u have time to view the addition footage and time stamps here #451

Honestly JT saying that was one of the dumbest things I have heard, a WR doing a quick dart one way and cutting back the other is a standard for getting quick easy separation.. this happens all the time, the fact that JT said this was baffling.

But it's irrelevant because he had 13 wide open for an easy TD that Fields couldn't process was an open easy TD.. then went to Moore (who thanks to that quick dart at the los) gave him separation and had another wide open easy TD.. which Fields again couldn't process was an easy wide open TD and gave up on that one as well.

Yeah I do disagree with him on that one, and let's not forget that JT was a terrible QB.. and Moore is a pro bowl caliber WR that has been great regardless of how bad his QBs have been, so I'm going to not take him seriously when he is going after a great WR that the move he was complaining about WORKED perfectly..

Maybe if JT understand what the WR is doing he wouldn't have a career 69 rating with more INT then TDs..

But yeah I will look over the rest of the highlighted parts on mon when I'm back home in front of my PC again, hard to analyze film on my phone lol
