I love his statement about a plain clothes cop issuing parking tickets. Why, so he can be stealth. Hilarious.

Since this makes zero sense, I suppose I'll have to buy your Vietnam Vet claim as well.

Premeditated murder? Are you fucking high?

On that front, The coroner is unwilling to call it a murder as of yet. The body has been laid to rest, it is not about that.
The coroner evidently needs more information on the scene itself.

If anyone watched the press conference with the chief, he corrected himself on the word "murder".

So- to begin SPECULATING- pure speculation, is that there is a chance of it being accidental or even suicide (i hesitated to type suicide, but it was put out by the coroner that it is still on the table).
I will start my speculation by pointing out everything is still reportedly being treated as a homocide, so the prattle below is just hot air.

It was a "single devastating" shot that killed him.
The mans gun was found at the scene, but the police will not say if it had been fired.
If it had been fired by the officer, gunpowder residue would be on his hand and certainly checked for in the post mortem. Police spokesman will not say if he had fired a gun.
The coroner nor the police will say what weapon caused the wound, but with the Officer being laid to rest, there is a 99% likelyhood they are already aware of what caused it.

The fact that the coroner is not releasing the report until he gets details of the scene, meaning he knows what killed him, but needs to see the variables surrounding it.

So- my deduction... again, just shooting in the breeze and completely guessing by what is widely available and possibly full of shit... is this-
I am guessing it was a close range injury- almost touching when fired.
His gun killed him, and it was in his hand when it did.
Was he running and tripped and fell, suffering an amazingly horrible accident? Was he in a scuffle with it in his hand? Was there a battle for control of it and it went off? Did he get in a fight and someone gained control and fired it?

Whatever it was, it just seems like it is getting muddier and more convoluted every day- especially with the Coroner and Chief taking shots at each other. That was dissapointing.

I can't see how he would have decided to commit S at that time and place. Would that even make sense?

Does the fact that multiple shots were fired make the likelihood of this being possible more remote?
Yes and no. Yes as to any possibility of suicide. No as to no perps in the first place, especially if this ends up related to corruption. Let's hope for the best in any case and we arrest all responsible. This may end up as a movie some day

Accident, no. Conspiracy? Probably not either.

Think about it, a 32 year veteran whose boss just resigned had to know something.

Suicide insures they cannot take away that huge pension for his families future, making it appear a homicide preserves his reputation...and certainly prevents any future criminal prosecution should he have been the one beating prisoners last year. For almost a year now, the Fox Lake PD has refused to turn over the video.

That department needs a thorough and independent investigation.

It was a police brutality case caught on camera. Wasn't the officer technically not on duty for a few more minutes? Maybe his dash cam was off because he was off duty. Maybe he saw something that alerted suspicion and went after it without thinking to turn on the cam.

Do you think it is procedure for a lone officer to go chasing 3 male suspects w/no back-up?...in this day and age when police officers are being targeted for revenge?.

I think not, procedure is to wait...which he intentionally had to blow off to carry out the suicide plan.

... I think you need to pump the brakes. I think it's far more likely that Fox lakes police department is understaffed and it was easier for him to check into it as it was probably nothing in his mind and he'd lose the perps. Maybe they saw his car and took off so he went too. There are a million scenarios more likely than him agreeing to be offed because of unrelated corruption charges against one of his bosses.
