... I think you need to pump the brakes. I think it's far more likely that Fox lakes police department is understaffed and it was easier for him to check into it as it was probably nothing in his mind and he'd lose the perps. Maybe they saw his car and took off so he went too. There are a million scenarios more likely than him agreeing to be offed because of unrelated corruption charges against one of his bosses.

Every police department in the Chicago metro area is overstaffed.

You say the corruption charges are unrelated, when it seems more plausible a 32 year vet knew everything.

lol, no they're not. I know of a few in McHenry County that are not.

While I realize it is human nature to believe the best regarding other people, it is highly naive to do so.

Corrupt cop ending his life to preserve reputation and family pension is a good motive.

This story is nuts. How the hell do they spend so much time and money searching for two guys, only to be say they may not even be real? This seems like a training day cover up kinda thing.
