As good as Winfield is, he still isn’t elite in what matters most— coverage. Remember he gave up the deep pass to Kupp to end the 2021 season for the Bucs. Just not a wise use of money to pay a safety that much. Produces a good bit of big plays but also gives up a lot of big plays. 102 passer rating against according to PFR. $20 million when you have to pay JJ and soon Gordon(if he stays healthy).

I agree. I would be happy with him as a Bear but I don’t think he is elite or deserves elite money.

Curious why you would pay that for him? He has been nothing special. The Bears RB by committee can easily achieve what he does and will be much cheaper.
