If the Browns trade for him, it could help a QB fall to them but SF would draft a QB then.

Would depend strongly on what Dallas did. I've been hearing talk that they covet Ramsey, but they've also said they would take a Qb if the right guy was there.

Also still wouldn't stop some team like Philly or LA from giving up picks to jump ahead. Baltimore would be a good partner as they seem to make a lot of draft day moves.

Hey Windy....

Per @JasonColeBR, CB Janoris Jenkis has fired his agent & won't listen to Rams offers until he hits the market. Good news for the #Bears.

He called it a lowball offer, which makes me think the guaranteed money was probably not there. I actually think those numbers are pretty reasonable. Either way, the McPhee connection couldn't hurt and as long as you don't blow the top to sign him – it could be another great cornerstone piece for the defense.

Malik Jackson 5 years 57.5 million/35 guaranteed

Janoris Jenkins 5 years 50 million/25 guaranteed

Danny Trevathan 5 years 42.5 million/22 guaranteed

Jeff Allen 5 years 35 million/20 guaranteed

These are my max offers for the big name guys.

I know those are big offers, they are my max offers and hopefully you can get them for less.

That's what you call salary cap hell.

I wouldn't pay anything more than $10M/yr for Jenkins, and that still may be out of his price range. I could see a team like the Jaguars overpay for his services.

Probably. I'd guess he's looking for 5/55 with 28 gtd.

Maxwell got 10 mil a year. Jenkins is a much better CB. This boy with the salary cap increase is going to want 11-12 million. I am fine paying that over 4 years with 35%/guaranteed.

Agree completely. Maxwell isn't even close to Jenkins. With the increased cap and the value on the CB position people need to get used to seeing bigger than numbers than you expect. I'd pay Jenkins 12 a year no problem.

That is not free agent CB money anymore.

I would offer 4 44/22 guaranteed

-10 signing bonus
-3 yearly roster bonuses due on 3rd day of league year

He gets 16 million in cash in year 1.

8.5 cap hit year 1

The roster bonuses protect against an off field issue.

Ok then replace Maxwell with Prince Akumura.

Jenkins isnt worth it the money. Porter, Ball and Fuller isnt that much of a drop off. Fuller still getting better.

I am not a Langford fan. I think he has bad instincts for a running back. I do think Carey has good potential and think that he will beat Langford out for the number one rb on the team.

Both are good rbs.

I just worry about Langford catching the ball.

Langford played WR and corner, as well as RB, in college. Do you even bother paying attention to the careers of the guys you talk about?

He dropped some crucial balls this season.

Thank you for knowing what he did in college though.

Someone has to know things; otherwise who would take care of you?
