Jimmy G has a chance at busting still. Teams want him.

He's actually seen playing time though
That's why I asked if it would make it "logical" in all your eyes if Trubisky played well in mop up duty for 50 total snaps or so.
playing mop up in blowouts are about as useful as playing a preseason game

No that would be like a room with no doors or windows for everyone else to get out while being subjected to the unending flawed circular logic that is Remy. I think Stephen King would buy the rights to that story.for remydat, he could spend eternity in there. that would be like being in a room with no doors or windows to get out of for him.
What other option would there be? Sign him to a 2nd contract? To do that, you need to trade Glennon. You would rather trade someone who gave your team 2 all pro years and was still young?
Well that's all Hundley has done.
Jimmy had a game and a half. Flynn had 1 week 17 meaningless game vs the Lions.
No you wouldn't.
what is Hundley's trade value?
Jimmy has at least played in an actual game and played well.
what did Flynn get traded for? If you are talking about the Seahawks than he went there as a FA, if you are talking about the Raiders than he got a 5th round pick.
So basically these examples don't help your arguement that Trubisky could bring in a 1st round pick if his only game time is pre-season and mop up duty
Then you pay a shit ton for 2 QBs?
Why would he be so worried about Trubisky nearing the end of his rookie deal? He'd be a RFA. You could match any offer. How much leverage would Trubs have to demand any kind of large salary that would raise a worry? What would NFL teams even be willing to offer? The Bears could match any sheet etc.
I read an article that the Packers were looking for a 1st round pick.
..I repeat......
