That's why I asked if it would make it "logical" in all your eyes if Trubisky played well in mop up duty for 50 total snaps or so.

Jimmy has at least played in an actual game and played well.
what did Flynn get traded for? If you are talking about the Seahawks than he went there as a FA, if you are talking about the Raiders than he got a 5th round pick.
So basically these examples don't help your arguement that Trubisky could bring in a 1st round pick if his only game time is pre-season and mop up duty

He is going to get starter money somewhere. If Glennon plays like an all pro, he would get a Carr like deal inflated for 2 years later. We wouldn't be able to afford to match the Trubisky offer.
