Schwarber is not a C on a World Series contender.
So true.
So puzzling that people just don't get this.

I agree. I'm throwing that out there as different moves they could make to get pitchers besides Soler or Baez.Schwarber is not a C on a World Series contender.

This is true, but isn't Baez the one Tampa Bay is interested in...at least to rumors? You don't move Baez because of his mix of age, potential, and utility value (high level D at 3B, SS, and 2B). Teams tried to acquire him already, and Theo & Co weren't budging. Soler is a much less versatile player, plus the injury issue makes him more expendable.
I'm for keeping Baez. To me his D is questionable though. Like his bat potential. That would be my reason to keep him around. Don't think he will be a starter though with none of those positions open now.

Bryant should play RF. He has no business at 3rd base
Really? Cuz I haven't seen gold glove stuff from him yet. I've seen much with Russell. The gap is a little larger than your saying I think.???
Baez's D is just a shade below Russell. He's more athletic than Russell but less consistent.

Damn, that Twitter page is full of some hostile ass individuals. Wow! You would think Heyward was Babe Ruth or something.
I don't know what rumors those are. It just makes very little sense to give him up unless you're getting an elite, cost-controlled SP in return. He's your IF depth with excellent D at 3 positions, provides pop off the bench, and is an excellent baserunner off the bench.

Bryant is the 3B. How is he only suited for corner OF?
Not able to c&p on the phone. Check mlbtraderumors.com on December 7. "Rays, Cubs discussing trade involving Javier Baez"I don't know what rumors those are. It just makes very little sense to give him up unless you're getting an elite, cost-controlled SP in return. Maybe the four of them are skinny enough to count as only two?I'm still wrapping my bead around "both Heyward, Bryant, Soler, and Schwarber.."
We all know games aren't played on paper, but when you crunch numbers like that, it certainly seems encouraging what they have done so far this off season. So I was curious how good the cubs offense could be. If we take last seasons numbers and sub Zobrist for Castro, Heyward for Fowler, and move Schwarber in for Cogs, the cubs starting line up would have hit .268/.339. Teams from 2000-2015 who have had a .339 OBP have average 773 runs. This season the cubs scored 689 runs. That's a pretty significant increase.
