I’m so beyond the rant phase. Bears aren’t worth getting mad over.
The NE debacle put me over the edge, anyway at least for the remaining of the season.......lol...... No sense in ranting. Nothing to be said that hasn't been said already. You're right, at this stage there's no point in getting mad anymore.

Fields fumbling and losing games isn't Flukey either. The facts are they lost.

Steelers are 8-2, in part because they were able to plug in a HOF QB over a QB still learning and developing on the job.

A 25 year old QB who fumbles has a much greater likelihood to turn it around than a head coach who is so terrible at situational football that he's something like 6-17 in one score games. Fields starts next year, nobody on this planet will hire Eberflus to be their HC ever again.

Brisker is worth that pick if he’s not concussed
This isn't even hindsight, but that version of the Bears needed OL in the worst way. It was god-awful.

Choosing to use two 2nd round picks on secondary players instead of even one on an OL was idiotic.

New definition of insanity: Doing the same things the Bears always do and expecting different results. As Bobby Knight said we prolly should just lay back and enjoy it.

That position gemerally isn't worth a 2nd round pick...esp.when it's the first pick of a teardown/rebuild.
Sure would have helped yesterday but yah, Lines.

Back reading this and…it’s hilarious how many hardcore fans are completely apathetic about this team (including me). Fan is short for fanatic so it literally goes against the definition of the word. And the ones posting to a message board are definitely more than just a casual fan. That’s how poorly the Bears are run as an organization. They have managed to take one of the most invested segments of their fan base and make them…simply not care. They drafted one of the most hyped quarterbacks in a generation but coaching, management, and ownership is so incompetent that fans simply don’t care. I know it’s wrong, but I was actively rooting for the Packers to win by 50 yesterday in the hopes that maybe a horrible result would force the Bears to do SOMETHING. That’s completely wild. The organization is so dysfunctional that a lifelong fan is actively wanting your traditional rival to blow your team out of the water to force organizational change because that’s the only real solution. It’s stunningly similar to how many Sox fans were hoping they would break the season loss record to “force” Reinsdorf and Getz to do anything. Chicago Sports fucking suck right now. The Sox and Cubs have a combined two titles in a century. The Bulls went on a great run , but then forced out one if the best coaches of all time, sent the GOAT to go play for the fucking Washington Wizards, and haven’t really done shit since. The Hawks were dynasty level but turns out were harboring a serial predator. The Bears….yeah…

Love how Hoge takes a shot at Mark Carman, Gregg Braggs, and other fan meatheads who continue to unabashedly count their chickens before they've hatched in these late-game situations, lol.

Oh to be one of these poor fools who legitimately thinks the Bears are going to win every time they're in a favorable position late-game.

Eh, we still don't know how much impact Flus being on a 5 year contract impacted the ability to fire/keep Flus at the end of last year. Couple that with HC never being fired mid-season, and I can see Poles letting Flus go on Black Monday and getting his full shot on a new HC. Not 2 days shot, but weeks/months of prep, investigation, and interviews.

Poles IMO, has been our best talent evaluator since Jerry Angelo. Yeah there's clunkers in there, but he's also cut ties with those clunkers where past GMs never did. He's also made a lot of good picks, but again, not everything hits. We could do far worse. Potentially better, but far worse if they searched for another GM.

Getting the coaching right is the largest area of improvement IMO (at this time). Even Brown taking over the offense led to immediate improvement and utilization of players. And while the defense is top 10, and could be better with another couple DL pieces, the consistent Q4 bad game decisions is a huge gap/hindrance to winning any close game. Flus absolutely has to go. He's a solid coordinator. Not a head coach.

Defense is not top ten. Past 3 games showed how thin the Dline is. No sacks yesterday. It’s was bad. Edmunds looks lost out there. The Bears can’t stop the run against cardinals and patriots.

4-6 is right.

A competent head coach has this team at 7-3 at the very least. John Fox would have this team at 6-4. Prime Lovie would have them at 8-2.

Not sure you point. The facts are good teams do lose to the Colts.

P.S. Fields starting next year is speculation on your part. We dont know if he will or not.

Gordon was his firt pick not Brisker. I said at the time I didnt like taking a safety with a high pick and many disagreed.

6 DBs.
A man's got to have priorities.

And in Poles case a man has to tell his underling no when his priorities of everything for defense, nothing for offense are screwed up.

What's amazing is how many want instant gratification with a QB but then excuse not having an offense in place to have that instant gratification.
If you all were abused women and the Bears your abusive mate I'd be walking away, you actually do want the abuse.

Fired Lovie would have the Bears exactly where Flus has them. He started giving away games just like Flus does.
