Garbage time because the defense couldn't keep up. If the hundred million dollar defense could even force a 1st half incompletion let alone a punt, maybe our offense could compete. Mitch isn't getting paid 30-40 mil and no one is claiming he is a top qb. So it's ridiculous to hold him to a perfect standard.

But he is doing enough to sustain drives, keep the defense rested, win the field position game and score points.

No one is absolving the defense, but 10 pts going into the 4th the 1st game and 16 pts this last game will not beat Rodgers a majority of the time. Not good enough

I'm only pointing out the defense because the situation dictates thr offensive approach. Afterall, You guys want to discount the last 15 points the offense scored because the situation dictated how Greenbay's defense approached the game(though it didn't very much, GB played for us not to score)

Yet, its always becomes convenient to overlook the situation the offense was in the 1st 3 quarters. They literally felt they had to score a TD every drive. The pressure was high and the situation may have impacted Mitch to force throws and make poor decisions. On top of that, Greenbay scored near every drive leaving the Bears offense to manufacture their own drive from their own 20. Field position was poor.

But even then, I'm not saying Mitch played to expectation the 1st GB game. He missed an opportunity to get is back in the game in the 3rd quarter both games before the Defense continues to s*** the bed.

Mitch was a bit off, but was far from the culprit for the Bears loss. The offense had a limited number of possessions and did well to keep up. We lost a possession to a fumble and another one due to a poor 4th down call. Mitch threw a poor INT when the gane was getting away and he was trying to make a play. No excuse because it was an ill advised play.


But the real problem was that the Bears Defense couldn't keep up. Each of the first 3 drives were a TD and Rodgers didn't have a incompletion until the 3rd quarter where a wide open receiver dropped a walk in TD. Defense was abysmal as they were in the 1st match-up. GreenBay scored a TD on 5 of their 7 possessions and we were very fortunate it wasn't 6 for 7.

Blame Trubisky, but he was playing from behind and the offense kept us in it until the late 3td quarter due to an atrocious play call. He gave us the best chance and had a 85 QBR rating, his best of the season. Nick Foles wouldn't have given us any better a chance and that's the point of the post.

The Bears had more possessions and 30 more offensive plays, not sure what game you were watching.

How about get the ball in the fucking end zone.

The Bears scored 16 points because that is all Mitch is capable of against the top half of the league defenses. Not a single game with 100+ QB rating against a team above .500.

Don't try to keep up. It doesn't have to make sense. Some people just post for a reaction. All that matters is that there is another thread, with some ridiculous idea, only posted for the intent to bash Mitch.

Nagy is calling plays again. So back to his 'offense', which doesn't work at all for Trubisky. So why bother. Nagy can't put his own ego out of the way enough to do what's best for the team. Let the offensive failure be all on him. I just want him gone.

No matter who starts at QB, the defense is going to give up at least 40 . With Trubisky they might score 17. With Foles, probably 9. If Foles starts, at least none of the post game cunting should be about 10.

Those were good times.....when the defense could stop somebody. They'll be down 14 after the first 2 possessions and Nagy will forget David Montgomery is on the team.

I've not been a huge fan of the Foles trade but it couldn't have worked out better for the Bears honestly right now.

He's an anomoly at QB and his value only shows up if you actually make the playoffs.

Now that the Bears crawled into a wildcard game, you have a chance to bring him off the bench if Trubisky struggles again against solid defenses and see if he can go nuclear again
