Yeah but you're intentionally or unintentionally missing my point about the nature of authoritarianism and dissent.
The point is irrelevant to the issue of Aaron Rodgers being deceitful about the vax.

What do you expect dissenters to realistically do, fall on their sword?

You need to talk to people from Cuba, Venezuela, China, Russia, North Korea. I doubt any of them will be surprised by people forging documents. This is all well familiar to us who came from these types of countries.

Yeah I guess upon reflection, Rodgers just wanted to avoid getting 30 years hard labor.

He wants to avoid losing his job or missing games or other retributive measures, obviously.

What Rodgers did (lying about his vaccine status) could have got somebody killed. Hub, is just exercising his feelings with his vote, it is after all his vote. If Rodgers wasn't so irresponsible he would probably have gotten Hub's vote.

Oh sorry about that. Again though, it goes hand in hand with personal space and privacy. I'm not speaking for the guy but he probably just didnt want the drama associated with this whole thing and just tried to go with the crowd, not thinking that he would possibly test positive. I dunno, maybe that's on him.
Not looking to argue about the vaccine, but how is knowing if Rodgers is vaccinated any different than knowing any reason he might appear on the injury list?

absolutely bonkers.

Rodgers is the most valuable player. I think he kinda proved that with how bad green bay looked when he got covid toe.

The packers legit scored 0 points minus a garbage time TD against KC's D w/ Love. Rodgers has to add so many wins for that team.

I don't really care how he votes, but if he is voting based on anything other than the quality of a guy's play, he's doing it wrong, IMHO.

Unless we want to change the award to "Most Vaccinated Player", or "Most Politically-Correct Player", etc.

And Arkush calling attention to himself for this is a real bush-league move. It's not a good look for him.

yeah, me thinking Aaron Rodgers is a fascist cocksucker and shitty human being aside, what he does in his personal life shouldn't have anything to do with the criteria of naming someone MVP. this is some pure emotional move, and it's kind of dumb.

I generally like to listen to Arkush's take, and as someone stated, his access to front offices in the NFL is probably without peer.

Not sure why he would risk his ability to vote in the future by revealing his vote publicly prior; whatever the reason, it was poor judgement and unprofessional.

I think Rodgers is a ****. I also think the Packers have a record like the Bears without him. It's not just the stats; he makes the whole offense run smoothly and it rarely looks like it's very difficult when he's doing so. He and the Packers will probably likely find a way to fold in playoffs again, but Rodgers is the MVP of the regular season, as painful as that is to say.

Was he? His team knew. The NFL knew. That's his bubble. Who else do you think needed to know.
I also don't need to know when he's dealing with a shoulder injury, but he's willing to allow that to be publicly known. Why should his vaccination status be any different?

This statement from you makes me wonder if you've ever known anybody who escaped from a socialist country. In these types of authoritarian countries, deceit is often necessary to survive. There is a thriving black market in places like North Korea and there was one in the Soviet Union. The people who implicitly trusted the government simply perished from starvation, en masse, by the millions. The people who lied and stole to survive were the ones who could find food, or the ones who had acquired forged paperwork to show to the authorities to prevent them from sending them or their family members to gulags.

When an authoritarian state demands "papers please", many dissenters will forge documents to avoid the state's retribution. This is what happens in any country whose government turns to authoritarianism, as ours has.

What does this have to do with a guy making over 30m a year to play a game misleading people about his vaccination status? Comparing Rodgers to people living under an oppressive socialist state is like the people that compare NFL players to slaves.

No one demanded papers from Rodgers. He was free to play in the NFL without being vaccinated just like hundreds of other players. You trivialize what people that actually lived under oppressive states went thru when you try to claim Rodgers situation is similar to theirs.

You are basically right wing Colin Kaepernick with the NFL players as slaves comparison being swapped out for Rodgers as an oppressed victim of an authoritarian socialist state.

This whole thing is stupid!!
Rogers is scum!
Hub is a idiot!
HUB, If you have the balls to state your convictions and feelings then you to stick to it. If this is what you believe then more power to you, and **** what everyone else thinks. Don't turn around and apologize like a little Biatch...........You just gave Rogers and he cronies Like Pat M a platform for some sort of sympathy.
