was supposed to be a day off today.. decided to ride me rusted, half grip, frayed line, one half of one break bike around.. christ, i forgot what it was like to cycle.. pushed me legs past failure a couple of times going up nice and easy inclines. i didn't get off and push though.. me body remembers the quad shred.. but i was out of breath and felt nauseated when i got home...thought i was gonna throw up.... not much flat around me house path wise.. either a decline or incline.. slight or steep..

i need some hybrid tires.. cause im half and half on/off road. last bike i had ova a decade ago in murica, had some hybrids for the road/dirt.. they is way better on the road than da fatties made fer the offroad 100%

but it do takes me back to the last time i was out of shape and started to ride.. coming off a couple years of inactivity from a recurrent 5th metatarsal fracture that i finally had surgery on to fix.. cardio was so bad i had to get off me bike to push up inclines for months.. by the end of year 1, i was seeking out huge inclines and hills.. 50-70% grades.. crazy shit.. but i was also doing 10-20 miles a day 6 days a week.. aint got the youth to do that shit. regardless.. will add more bike... a couple times a week.. maybe on me rest days..

Ate a pizza, a bag of chips, a banana and a protein bar today lolol. Under 2k cals tho so that's good. But was busy all day and didn't eat til like 5pm. Been eating healthy before today so no biggie

pizza aint bad.. well depends on the pizza i guess..

ive been on a roast chicken leg kick fer the last week. i dont care if it be got mo fat than chicken breat.. fits in me macros..

anyway, bought tons of legs this week and have cooked a pan per day while trying to develop me own rub.. i hit it out of the park today.. it had been off balanced..either too much smoke or too much sage etc.. but today.. mang, the shit was fucking good.... its a good base to work from.. now i need to take it to another level..

maybe switch black fer white pepper.. n get some acidity in there.. maybe some sweet paprika too.. mustard powder idk... regardless.. make dis shit below and youll know whats up.. i had been making wraps all week. eat 4 a day... one leg per wrap full of dark salad leaves n other veg.. lil dressing.. its the reason i went high flavor on the chicken, so i dont need much dressing.. but shit was so good i had to eat it normal with some roasted veg.

aint giving ya da ratios.. cause maybe you prefer the profile to head dis way or dat way.......i just eye them anyway..

onion powder
garlic powder
spanish smoked paprika
cayenne
grinded sea salt
fresh cracked pepper
ground sage
dry thyme
dry rosemary
dry parsley
dry basil
dry chives

normally hit a lil celery salt too but i ran out..

coat chicken with a lil olive oil.... then take dry mix that been mixed well (rubbing together with finger tips) to where most of the herbs basically disnigrate into da mix.....and cover da chicken good.. rub dat shit in...let sit a min of 30 mins at room temp in dat semi wet dry marinade before baking.. can marinate longer in fridge if ye want.. but that bringing up to room temp some is good..truss me..... just dont leave it out too long.. cause it be chicken..

preheated oven @ 425 F... bake 30-45 minutes depending on the size of the legs.. i get big ass ones and bake fer about 40-45 in me oven.. remove from heat, cover pan in foil and place on stove to rest 10-30 mins.. foil locks in that moisture and heat.. i be got a deep roasting pan with a wire rack.. so me shit dont stick at all..

may have to dredge dis shit and make some oven fried chicken.. AFC

Meditation/yoga is the only thing that got me out of criminal justice system alive. Bikram increases the ability to pass drug tests by about 90% faster, but be careful of dilutes. Rehydrate strategically on test day.

But yeah...just 10 days off made beginning so hard again. I haven’t picked up a weight in years seriously, this been just getting me through and healing rugby injuries. Yoga seems necessary to fix my back and posture before I can do other activities again. Build my muscle from ground up with proper functional form.

I’m gonna go on an ab hunt earky in this thing, my trouble is I’m a skinny fat guy.

If I do a natural 90(no weights) routine , I think I can have a 6 pack at end. Or a good 4 pack anyway. I fell under 200 lbs in my long depression, gonna have to build strength back.

yeah starting back seems to be biting me in the arse too. my body is just old. plus, the weather has changed, we had our first snow this morning. it was gone by the time i woke up, but its cold again. My old man muscles don't seem to be reacting well to the cold. My body is fine being in it, i was out and about in shorts and a hoodie today.. its just training in da cold seems to affect me muscles. this week has felt harder than the first week coming off that near decade hiatus.

i went out and got some creatine today.. hopefully when i ramp things back up, itll help with me recovery.

gl with the yoga, me wife does it.. i wont try yoga/meditation until i can legally get weed in aus. without it.... the thought seems like eating pizza with no cheese on it. the wife swears by it though.. i may be getting to that age where i need lower impact thangs.. decades of being rough on me body is catching up..

Make sure you get a legit acupuncturist tho. A lot of them are just slanging snake oil.

I'd been to several and was convinced they were all just bs until I found the right one that actually understands how the bodies energy pathways work.

It’s hard to describe but it was a pia early mornings and late nights and has prevented me from doing certain workouts especially dead lifts. I’m so happy with the treatments though going to also get massage every week during lifting cycles. Between my genetics and age all this stuff I thought was gypsy shit might be way to go lol especially cause I don’t do pain killers or weed so any relief is a plus for me.

Have you tried any topical CBD stuff? Natural, no THC like weed, no high, but great at spot reduction of inflammation. I found a couple that worked really well and almost instantly when I was going through some pain issues.

Unfortunately I do not have a good name brand to give you. I have found what I have had success with locally. From an acupuncturist actually.

i cant wait for dis phase.. was telling da wife this ova dinner.. im probably gonna bulk once i get to me target weight.. gotta love their cheat days too... especially those roid guys... im always like.. yeah whatever 30k calories guy.. where the **** is the needle.........dis guy looks natural though...

my week break back into working out has turned into two weeks.. been focusing on legs more.. trying to get me quads strong again...been riding me bike more and using the exercise bike at home too.. the ride to da lake is nice until you want to come home. its a big long ass hill.... 2-300 yds of walter paytuons glory coming back.. i have to get off the bike at some point and walk the rest of the way up.. one day though...

i see why this bike was 20 bucks now... among all of its other tlc... it either needs a need crankset that would run 50-100 or if you be knowledgeables a lil.. it just needs new middle ring for 5 bucks or so. fixing up a entry level failed aussie brand.... be priceless.. but in aussieland.. you aint even getting a chinese owned schwinn for 100 bucks new. i use to have this nice schwinn schwinn mtb before da chinese takeover back in duh day.. loved that bike..

ive boxed a couple of days for short periods.. but mainly, its the exercise bike while playing boxing when im at home... fight night.. xbox 360.. sweating while fighters are swearting on da game.. weird feelings mang.. ive never mixed the two.. i never had the power pad as a kid.. nor tried wii fit or kinect bs..

more boxing and martial arts will start after me kids bday in a couple of weeks.. he asked for some gloves awhile back and i be got him some.. he also be asking me to teach him more... so i will.. **** almost got into his first fight at some school circus... some Special person that is known for hitting kids..... hits me kid out of the blue.. me boy does what i told him.. he says stop and walks away.. kid follow and kicks him again... my son walks off.. later on, that boy finds me kid again and kicks him.. my boy turns around into a boxing stance and actually starts growling like a dog.. that bully kid backed off and never returned.. kind of like the taco.. my son would have broke that midget..

Have you ever watched Rich Piana’s channel. That dude used to eat pints of ice cream and pizza all day everyday. Apparently you can eat whatever the **** you want when you’re running gear.

2,100 cals/day for 2 months to lose another 10 lbs to get down to 170. Using the app LoseIt. very nice and simple. can scan all the food i eat.

i weighed myself for the first time in a few weeks.. seems i gained 8 pounds during this lay off/half assed month plus of wtf. idk how much is water...i know my sodium intake as been 3-4 times what it was...while my calories havent been extreme, the nutritional content in me foods has be laughable. it seems starving me body of vitamins puts me into some sort of gain mode.................. regardless, 8 pounds is a lot.... when i should have been down 10+ if i kept it up. time to go back to what i was doing i guess..

also been having the itch to cook commercially again for some reason.. i think i might start hitting up places looking for some work in a couple of weeks..
