Last year the same problems existed. Anyone who believed anything was adequate last year is lying or full of crap.
Last year you didnt have a QB who could read defenses as well as Caleb and get the ball out quick! Also didnt have this receiver talent to fall back on. WHAT THE HELL MAN!

I’ve heard Ray Agnew being talked about being in the next GM hiring cycle. I done know much about him.

He and Johnson on the same timeline in Chicago is enticing if Poles gets booted and if he is indeed competent.

The biggest undercurrent rumor floating about is that Ben Johnson and Ray Agnew will be coming to the Bears as a package deal and the Bears will agree to mutually part with Poles.

Allegedly the way it will go down is Ben will be interviewed and will be interested in the job but not if Poles is GM, which will facilitate his removal and Agnew's installation.

does anyone truly believe that George will pony up the reported 15m/year for Johnson after a continued history of paying for first timer HC salaries?

No, not really. But it'll be the biggest hellstorm if they don't pay a prominent candidate. The eyes will be on them nationally because of the Caleb factor. The media would obliterate them beyond just being the laughing stock of the NFL. Fans should consider revolting and protesting this ownership. It doesn't take much to start a major fan wide protest, but too many bears fans are too stupid to stop giving them money.

Wouldn’t hate that at all if it plays out that way.

Id like to think he'd get fired, but its the McCaskeys we're dealing with.

Poles has done a good job of finding serviceable starters in the first 2 rounds, and fleecing a desperate Carolina team. He sucks at everything else though. He sucks so much at everything else that it negates the few positives he did have.

This team has record similar to the team that he tore down even though he had 2 years to add talent to it. 2 years where he had plenty of cap space and quality draft picks. Poles is a shitty GM, and each week just magnifies his shittiness even more.

Kevin Warren is the wild card. That last press conference where Matt Eberflus was fired was about Warren finally flexing his muscles.

Warren desperately wants to put his stamp on things and I believe this offseason will be evidence of that.

You really need to shove all your allegedly this and that bullshit up your twat.

Your need for things to be conspiratorial is schizophrenic at this point. You are basically hallucinating conversations that never happened

I don't think this has anything to do with caleb, he's completely failed to build a competitive team since he's been here. Most of his picks aren't big difference makers, when you can't draft great players and have to rely on trading and giving up picks you don't deserve the job I would hope bears fans have turned on him rather than accepting more bs. He has absolutely did nothing to make our line better which was was our biggest issue when he arrived.

How can you claim the Bears weren't competitive while also calling for Flus because of all the games he cost us?

Why do you always put out speculation as fact?

Looks like they tried to fixed the wrong problem, I'm afraid.

A few things.

1) Kevin Warren does not want to share the spotlight with a guy who was there before him.

2) “We’re going to take the North and never give it back.”

3) Complete failure on the rebuild. The same record now as the teardown year.

And the biggest one.

4) The timeline.

The Bears are not going to extend Poles just to extend him, the way they did Pace.

They’re not going to hire a new head coach with the GM on a lame-duck one year deal. It just doesn’t happen.

This all appears to point to the Bears moving on from Ryan Poles at the end of the season.
Sounds logical.

Sounds very unlike the Bears to do the logical.

LOL extension incoming.

I think its entirely possible Poles does not survive Black Momday. The defense looks atrocious to the point where you have to question the personnel. As underwhelming as the defense was this year under Flus, they look even worse without him. The DL is getting no pressure. The LBs aren't difference makers, and the DBs while serviceable when healthy are always injured and don't stand a chance without us getting pressure on the QB.

Then you take into account the OL which one would think should be Pole's specialty. But Braxton Jones took a step back. Nate Davis was cut midseason, Darnell Wright has been up and down. And Kiran Amegadje looked terrible last week to the point he was a healthy scratch this week.

So, Idk. I'm not sure there is enough proof to warrant keeping him. Part of me thinks he deserves an extra year becuase of all the draft capital we were able to acquire with him and he should be able to see out what he can do with this extra 2nd rd pick. But at the same time, I'm not sure a top tier coach would want to come in under such circumstances. So I am mostly indifferent.

Thank you! They sucked last year just like this year. Had the benefit of some backup QBs that made the defense look better than it was. Then Poles lets his only average 3T walk in free agency, Bllings gets hurt and it comes crashing down because he can’t draft for shit!

Anyone still pining for Fields has a mental illness. It’s funny how all I hear is Caleb has empty stats! Well why could Fields get empty stats while losing for 3 years? The great Tomlin benched him for has been Wilson for a reason.

I can also see George passing on Ben Johnson because he won’t work with Poles. He is easily that stupid. We then get Joe Brady who will fail spectacularly.

I called it. Poles who was completely untouchable by Bears fans would get turned on if Caleb wasnt everything he was hyped up to be. Fans are so predictable.

This has little to do with Caleb Williams but more to do with the play of the OL, hiring Shane Waldron, and the abysmal play of the defense.
