Want one? Just specify the sobriquet . . .
I would but I hate to let you know that your clever wordplay is not much respected amongst the CCS CHICAGOTUFF south side community and I need to protect my neck

What do you mean? All of this was so adequate last season. The OL was good enough and they improved at C. You should expect growth out of your three starters on rookie contracts when you combine that with a new QB who "knows how to get rid of the ball and read defenses". WR 2 and 3 improved. Lots of pieces on D were so good! Everyone that fans love just all of a sudden suck and arent good enough? Thats odd!
sorry you're not getting good coach to come here with queen poles in charge, what exactly has he done ? Wasn't he an offensive line man what he's he done to fix that mess? We have yet to win one game against the packers still. We have seen this countless times before keep hoping our GM isn't a bust which leads to 3 and 4 win seasons he's made our defense regress with his hires he approoved and coaches they put in place. My opinion is start fresh new GM new coach. Maybe poles is the actual coach killer not caleb 🤔

I think its entirely possible Poles does not survive Black Momday. The defense looks atrocious to the point where you have to question the personnel. As underwhelming as the defense was this year under Flus, they look even worse without him. The DL is getting no pressure. The LBs aren't difference makers, and the DBs while serviceable when healthy are always injured and don't stand a chance without us getting pressure on the QB.

Then you take into account the OL which one would think should be Pole's specialty. But Braxton Jones took a step back. Nate Davis was cut midseason, Darnell Wright has been up and down. And Kiran Amegadje looked terrible last week to the point he was a healthy scratch this week.

So, Idk. I'm not sure there is enough proof to warrant keeping him. Part of me thinks he deserves an extra year becuase of all the draft capital we were able to acquire with him and he should be able to see out what he can do with this extra 2nd rd pick. But at the same time, I'm not sure a top tier coach would want to come in under such circumstances. So I am mostly indifferent.
Chicago should have sent Poles packing the moment they decided to fire Eberflus. Hand in hand like Nagy and Pace before them.

I cannot see any scenario in which a "top-tier" coaching candidate comes to Chicago knowing that Poles is on a ridiculously tight leash. The right thing to do is to tie the new GM with the HC of his choosing.

You know he has a connection with Ben Johnson... Yes?

The moment Poles stuck with Eberflus in the offseason, he handcuffed himself to Eberflus.

This is beyond delusional. This team is nowhere close! This GM has been here 3 years and we have zero all pro players to show for it. The oline and DLine are complete disasters that need to be completely redone. Sweat and Wright are the only serviceable players. Dexter might have a future. That’s it!

9 game losing streak, 14 game losing streak. We are close!
I don't use pro bowlers as a measurement, as that is often dominated by playoff teams. I honestly think a different coach gets us in the playoffs this year. Most NFL people said we had the roster at the beginning of the year, that didn't change.

Thank you! They sucked last year just like this year. Had the benefit of some backup QBs that made the defense look better than it was. Then Poles lets his only average 3T walk in free agency, Bllings gets hurt and it comes crashing down because he can’t draft for shit!

Anyone still pining for Fields has a mental illness. It’s funny how all I hear is Caleb has empty stats! Well why could Fields get empty stats while losing for 3 years? The great Tomlin benched him for has been Wilson for a reason.
I get where you're going with the whole Fields thing, but this runs deeper.

For you Fields sucked, right?

Ok, let's go with that.

Do you believe Poles gave him everything he needed to succeed?
Was Getsy a good OC?
Did he have enough Weapons, especially before the Moore trade?
Lucas Patrick? Cody Whitehair who couldn't consistently snap the damn ball?

Note that we had to move on from him because it made sense to.

The point I'm making here it seems this team is a crap mountain of mediocrity and when it becomes a full dumpster fire people start blaming the QB.

Right now, there a folks looking at this team with all the disfunction and they will tell you with absolute certainty that Caleb is a bust. And while complaining about this dumpster fire they will tell you that a good qb will overcome it and lift this steaming pile of crap up. And since Caleb can't turn this around he sucks.

Why do people continue to look at this dog pile and think it must be the qb?

My criticism is at the team level which means the qb is an ingredient in the shit pie, not the shit pie itself.

I think the realistic answer is it was never fields fault and most rational people knew that.

But the issue is now the same problems exist and we've got a bunch of butt hurt people who fought tooth and nail for fields and now think it's amusing to blame Caleb for everything like the idiots did to fields.

So now ccs and bears fandom in general has turned into a cesspool of annoying morons.

I hope everyone here realizes no matter who the Bear's pick for the next GM, they will be just as bad if not worse than Poles. There is no reason to get excited about some one new coming in when they'll be just as incompetent if not more than the last guy.
I’m told the Bears will automatically be better with the subtraction of Nagy & Pace, I mean Eberflus & Poles.

A few things.

1) Kevin Warren does not want to share the spotlight with a guy who was there before him.

2) “We’re going to take the North and never give it back.”

3) Complete failure on the rebuild. The same record now as the teardown year.

And the biggest one.

4) The timeline.

The Bears are not going to extend Poles just to extend him, the way they did Pace.

They’re not going to hire a new head coach with the GM on a lame-duck one year deal. It just doesn’t happen.

This all appears to point to the Bears moving on from Ryan Poles at the end of the season.
I would promote Cunningham

To add to this. David Haugh reported this morning that he was at the game, and George was at the game greeting fans before the game, and all the fans were shaking his hand, including him. I wonder how many of those "fans" who claim to want to kick George in the nuts and force him to sell the team, actually shook his hand.

Judging from the TV broadcast, I'm guessing those were Lions fans who were shaking George's hand.
