Reports are the niners are looking at trading for Kirk Cousins..lol
I am glad pace is being serious about getting a qb, but i feel he will strike out and we will end up with jimmy g.
For the right price, I think he would be a great fit here
If it doesn't work out with Pace and Nagy I'm sure Watson will have a chance to get involved in the hiring process for the coach and GM.I think having a lame duck HC and Gm hurts a lot.
You think so? I feel like he has some of the same restrictions that haven't translated well to Nagy's offense. He's smarter and a bit more accurate than Mitch, but doesn't push the ball downfield any better. For the right price, I think he would be a great fit here
The 2022 draft pick for the BEARS is gonna be a top 10 pick not the “36th” pickThat was my thought, would seem like Philly would be the most likely candidate.
Using the TVC and basing the 2022 1st round value based off of the 2017 QB trade ups, it would take something like this to get up to 6.
#6 value is 1600, #20 value is 850 so need at least 750 points in addition to the 2022 #20 pick
2021 #20 850 pts
2021 #83 175 pts
2021 #147 31 pts
2021 #178 19pts
2022 1st rounder about #36 540 pts ( 20 +16 for 1/2 round later in 2022 )
total 1615 pts
Now...go back and count the trades we had.Orton, Grossman, McCown, Trubisky.
I was actually just giving you credit and assuming you were making some sense. But now that I examine it your post is even dumber than I initially thought. All these guys were drafted by the Bears.
And you can’t even maintain a coherent argument. At first you were saying Watson is a cast off in some lame attempt to make him look bad. As if everybody on here is bumbling idiots and would fall for some guy on the internet calling him a “cast off.” Then you tried to say trading for him would cripple them cap wise, but you like him as a player. Then why were you calling him a cast off on the previous page? Do you even know what you’re saying? Are you capable of holding a coherent conversation?
Just the fact that you believed you could push the narrative the he‘s a “cast off” tells me everything I need to know. I’m wasting my time even engaging with you.
You are saying two 1sts+? Link?Turns out the panthers offered their 8th, their next first and a few more picks.

McCown was not drafted by the Bears. He was drafted by the Arizona Cardinals in the 3rd round , 81st overall in 2002Orton, Grossman, McCown, Trubisky.

Nope. I for one don't care if we get Watson, but for the duration of his current contract he puts up hellaciously good numbers that don't translate to championships. Waste of everyone's damn time. Ask Moon,Mariono,Fouts or Rivers if they'd trade multiple 4,000 yard seasons for Super Bowl rings.
I was talking with “Mariono” the other day and he said he was all about his stats and nothing else. He said if a win or a championship came with it he would have been ok with it.Nope. Ugh, this is disheartening. I know they want to do any and everything possible to win while Virginia is still in this world, but honestly I'd rather they get the rest of the team better: offensive and defensive lines, CBs, receivers, team speed, and then just draft or develop a QB letting him play run and play-action. The lack of high-round draft choices over the last few years have shown up on the field.
Why is that do you think? ..it’s not like he was above average against the NFC North...26-35 to be exact. Maybe the best thing to do was trade him in the division. He had a losing record against all except the Bears and he was only 11-9 against us.Lions didn't want trade Stafford in division, but they will have no problem fleecing Pace and flipping Goff for our 1st rounder
