sometimes he's really rookie

basically

If there's no one on the other team who can burn him from the SF spot, Niko usually does pretty well. Problem is, there's usually someone who can.

i meant starting at PF

although i know it will never happen regardless of how Nikola plays

if Boozer didn't get benched its not a chance in hell Gasol does

Nikola is the ideal fit with the starting lineup however his play is too spotty

sometimes hes really good, sometimes hes really lost

Maybe he'll become more consistent if he plays less minutes? :dunno:

Seriously? LMAO.

The difference between you and me. I don't root for an agenda. All I did was apply context to the question that was answered. So by giving the correct context, I am suddenly making excuses? Mmmmmkay. Well, I guess truth hurts, and in order to keep the bash-fest going, you need to divert from the contents of the post, and make it personal.

There is nothing subtle about what you do. Embarrassing would be a more appropriate description. You routinely attack people who question anything about the team, and come up with the dumbest excuses imaginable to deflect blame.

Okay then. So tell me. Point out the excuse that you accuse me of making in the post that you responded to. For ease of use, here. :waiting:

*hint* It's Nick Friedell

Watch the post-game. Tom was being asked bout the last few weeks, not one game. Friedell is notorious for spinning quotes of of context and being a sensationalism-journalist. Doesn't mean you have to like Thibs or accept it as an excuse for anything. But as far as his statement goes, using it with the correct context changes the statement considerably.

And you are notorious for coming up with excuses for everything Bulls-related.

Then tell me what blame am I deflecting, since this is your accusation?

We suck at defensive rebounding. I think that partly falls on Gasol as he never boxes anyone out. We give up the 3rd most offensive rebounds....got to fix that somehow.

Gasol and Noah are getting tons of defensive rebounds. I think offensive rebounding has been a bigger problem. With all the missed jumpers and layups, they're only getting one scoring opportunity on each possession. That's not winning baketball.

The problem with this team is that the parts they have do not fit together. They do not have a single play-maker on the team at any of the smaller positions. There is no where else to spin it. They cannot win anything meaningful with this team. On paper, a lot of things looked good. They are not good. You can't attribute anything to injuries, every team has injuries. But when you lose to the Suns and Lakers back to back, then you do not have a championship quality team. It isn't too late to make an important move or two but I wouldn't bet on it. In fact I bet against it. This team is not fun to watch.

I said right at the beginning of the season that this team did not have a deep back court. It worked for about 20 games and then fell apart. I blame Gar/Pax for that mostly. And Reinsdorf(what, is he gonna take his money with him when he croaks?) Lets just say that this season has been a pretty big disappointment for me.

Unless the website I read was wrong, we're 3rd in the league in offensive rebounds a game.

The Warriors lost to Utah after losing to us. Guess they're not championship quality either.

Not recently. No one has been getting offensive rebounds. Noah and Gasol are getting tossed around like rag dolls on the rare ocassions when they're close enough to the basket to fight for offensive rebounds. Season stats don't give you an accurate depiction of what's going with this team at the moment. You really have to watch the games and analyze what is or isn't happening.

Pau's rebounding numbers are skewed. Watch how he plays the rebound game.....his rebounds are tip backs or he goes straight up with his height and reach. He doesn't like boxing out.

I still think he's the best offensive weapon we have on the team tho so he needs to be out there. He's not a physical guy, but he'll get his numbers and impact the game on the offensive end.

Bull's haven't had consistency in terms of clean rebounds. Has anyone else noticed how many loose balls the bulls seem to lose rebounding? There would be times where they would have a shot at a clean rebound then they fumble it and it goes out of bounds and turnover. Idk what the cause of that is, maybe lack of focus? Idk but i've seen it on too many times to brush it off as just an anomaly.

Thibs would answer lack of effort.

They're better than the Bulls. That is all that counts to me. So are about 7 other teams also. Maybe 8 or 9.

Another article ...... Thib's goes on to take away a lesson from the SB. He says it's a lesson to never give up (Pats+effort+discipline). He said he liked the Pat's "Do your job" T-shirts and wants to get them for the team. He then praises Carroll for his accomplishments. Somehow I just can't get past the irony of the wrong playcall/lineup being the deciding factor. But hey:
