I am not moving anything. You were asked why he no longer plays SS, and answered by saying "he plays".

He played 2nd only late in games until we were down a man. Now he plays the whole game. And we are playing .500 ball lately. Go figure.
Its all Castro and his .345 Avg in last 30 games fault for the team .500 record lately and not Haren, Hammel, Hendricks, shakey bullpen, etc..

Defensively last 30 games. .. 135 chances 6 errors

And look who just made a great defensive play for a inning ending DP in 9th. ..

Castro can make you shake your head at times but he not as horrible as you make him be. .

Don't forget basically the whole team striking out with men at third on a regular basis.

He has started 120 of the 130 games he has been in. Want to try again chief?

64-54 when he starts = .542

19 -7 when he doesn't = .731

Clearly not the only factor. But that ten over with him starting was 5 until he was benched, Then the team took off, "chief".

Don't be level headed. Remember, it was Castro fault Arrieta air mailed Rizzo at first.

Has Baez always worn that Heyward like flap on his batting helmet or is that new? I don't remember it.

He had some dental work this week. I don't think its there to stay just for some extra protection.

The blind support for Castro is ridiculous. No Cubs fan wants him to fail. When he does well I'm happy. But there is a reason the veteran SS lost his job to a rookie, and as a lot here point out, it wasn't for his offense. It was for his defense. It's not hard to get. Those are the facts. Maddon gets it, some Cubs fans get it.

Saw LaStella getting hosed there. I have seen Marte throw out runners all year. Dude arm is unreal.

I was reading the big data book on the pirates season of 2013 iirc. It's interesting talking about him in particular because they found LF in pit plays more like a typical CF in difficulty. They mentioned that most viewed him moving to LF as a knock against him but in their case they needed both him and McCutchen as CF level defenders to man that OF.

Did LaStella stumble or something or is he slow..
Yea Marte has a strong arm, but he ran into corner, put arms out to wall to stop his momentum, then set and threw ball..

All that and La Stella was out by a mile
